Being a tea fanatic, I am curious what does my fellow TBTers drink. You can vote for MORE than one selection!

The poll only allows a total of 10 selections so I left out the infamous milk tea, made famous by the bubble milk tea trend.
Please refrain from instigating! Everyone enjoys tea their own way

I notice a lot of mentions for Chai! Chai is a mixture of black tea and herbs including spices (you can vote for both black tea and herbal tea).

Some additional questions:
1. What is your favourite tea that you will always go to?
2. What is your least-favourite tea that you will avoid?
3. Do you drink your tea with milk or cream?
4. Do you prefer whole tea leaves or tea bags?

My response to the above questions:
My favourite tea is genmaicha (brown rice green tea). A close second being Sincha (first harvest tea leaves) but it's pricey and seasonal.
My least-favourite tea is probably flavoured tea. I like to brew tea leaves in pots, and flavoured tea doesn't go well with lengthy tea sessions.
I do drink my tea with milk, being half-Malaysian, I love 'teh tarik'
I prefer whole tea leaves because I like to brew tea in pots and I notice whole tea leaves last longer than tea bags (don't think they were made for more than one good brew).
Yes, I have given tea as a gift. Especially if I travel abroad, I would buy some tea from abroad and bring it back as souvenirs for friends and family.

I don’t know too much about it (like what kind of category it is in lol) but I’ll try to answer some of the questions

1. What is your favourite tea that you will always go to? Hmm probably pu’er and jasmine tea
2. What is your least-favourite tea that you will avoid? Most of the artificially flavoured ones from David’s tea and places like that (berries, mangoes, mint etc). I’ve tried a lot of them and very rarely liked it
3. Do you drink your tea with milk or cream? No, unless it’s in bubble tea lol
4. Do you prefer whole tea leaves or tea bags? Whole tea leaves! But tea bags are good too
5. Have you ever given tea as a gift?
Yes, my family went back to China a couple years ago and bought A LOT of longjing tea as gift for our extended family and friends

- all of them. but probably my flower green teas the most, I own like 5 different kinds
2. What is your least-favourite tea that you will avoid?
- not a fan of pu-erh. I've had my current batch for years now and still haven't finished it

- if it's teabags, yeah I'll take it with milk. Usually no.

1. Green tea, specifically sencha. I really don't like genmaicha. I think it's because I don't like brown rice and genmaicha seems to have some of that brown rice sort of flavor. If you were to make an old man into tea leaves, that's what genmaicha tastes like - at least to me. lol
2. Anything floral. I really hate floral teas. If the only teas in existence were genmaicha or floral teas, I'd happily take genmaicha. That's how much I hate them. The flower scent is bothersome more than the direct taste. It makes me feel like I'm drinking a flower field and it's weird.
3. No, I drink it plain and strong.
4. No preference.
5. Yes, but not that often. Most Americans seem to prefer coffee over tea

I picked green tea, herbal tea (mostly mint or cinnamon varieties), matcha, and black tea for the options. I love matcha but it's so costly. I would drink it more if it was cheaper. It ends up being a once in a blue moon treat for me.

Yea, I agree the artificially flavoured ones don't taste so good Lol, my family always drinks Pu'Er during dinner back when we used to live in Malaysia. I'm a third-generation half-Chinese, so my father's extended family are all Chinese and somehow rather it's either Pu'Er or Tieguanyin tea leaves for the pot (we drink Chinese tea with our family dinners)

Oh, you tea hoarder! *jokes* Yea, fermented tea like Pu'Er can have a rather strong taste for unseasoned drinkers, I grew up with them so I don't mind them lol.

it honestly might the that the one I bought wasn't that high a quality. Unfortunately the cakes get a bit pricey for me and I have a ton of other tea to finish off before I hit the point of ordering more xD

My absolute favorite is milky oolong which is just oolong tea that was steamed over boiling milk. It’s so delicious and tastes like tea and warm milk and it smells so good. Strawberry popcorn is also amazing!

Tea leaves are good for lengthy tea sessions since you can brew them multiple times without having to worry about the taste fading like with tea bags. This is English Breakfast Tea tea leaves when it's not packaged in a tea bag

Nah, us americans discovered coffee and now we just drink that all the time.
Personally I like the flower teas xD but I have like 2 teas that are cherry blossom and actually a fairly light flavor.
I'd stay away from rose/lavender/jasmine for sure if you don't like florals at all though haha.

I will always avoid flavor teas like chocolate. They just... gross me out and give me a headache.

I drink my tea with some milk and honey!

I prefer tea bags, I’ve never really been a fan of the leaves. It just always seemed like a pain to me, but I might have to try leaves sometime!

No, but I have given it as a gift! I have a British grandmother who loves tea, so I try and catch up on her favorite types every so often so I can give her tea for her birthday.
I’m actually American and I love tea, I guess I inherited it from my grandmother and mother. I actually hate coffee, it’s to bitter.

My fav is plain black tea, always hot and mostly plain but sometimes I will add sugar or honey. Also the Choice Organic Oolong is another fav.

Don't remember the name of it but it was this palmetto tea that tasted like dirt to me.

3. Do you drink your tea with milk or cream?

I buy tea already in bags because I don't know a place to buy loose leaves.

I wouldn't prefer it just because I've gotten tea sample sets and didn't like them and was stuck with a bunch of extra tea I didn't use.

Tea leaves can be pricey, so if you want to try freshly baked, fried, sun-dried, steamed or roasted tea leaves, you could always visit a tea plantation when you have the chance and sample some of their tea leaves

Right now my favorite is green tea. I've been drinking it more than anything else lately. My favorite used to be earl grey, but I've grown tired of it, at least for now.

Herbal teas are good as well. I started drinking rooibos and honeybush tea to limit caffeine intake, and I really like both of them.

I don't have a least favourite.

Depends on the tea. For English breakfast tea I use soy milk.

Loose leaf.
