It's really hard to say since we know so little about the both of you, your income levels, and your needs. Not all girls are into stereotypical "girl things" like makeup, lotion, hair stuff. Plus those kinds of gifts are pretty thoughtless, to be honest.

What about something hand made that deals with her interests, or something she's been wanting for a long time but hasn't been able to get a hold of for some reason? Even picking out a book you think she would like is a lot more caring than 'flowers and cake'.

I would take her out to watch a Christmas movie at first. Maybe Home alone (those bandits get wrecked.) Or Charlie brown. Then I'd take her to a Christmas dinner. And buy her some jewelry that I know she would like, maybe hair conditioner or makeup. Then I'd just spend some time just chatting and having a jolly time.

I don't have a girlfriend or Boyfriend but if I did I would like to take them on a vacation that we both could enjoy. Somewhere a little secluded but not to out of the way some place ultra romantic. Get a bottle wine and make sure their is some nice romantic music in the background and i would cook for them because I CAN cook very well. It would be all about them and whatever will make them happy. Because if they are happy then I am too.

I am sorry I must have misread the question. I thought it said what would All of us do for our significant other, not what I would do if i was you. Little confused here. But hey you could still take my suggestions and apply it. And oh a nice piece of jewelry is always nice(not a ring) but a necklace or bracelet.

I mentioned the cake (yes it's a bit stereotypical) but the point was he hand-makes it...now that would be sweet!

I would also suggest a good book, movie tickets (you don't say what type of movie she likes) so i can't suggest any great DVDs from that genre.
If you give us more specific interests, I'm really creative & will have a think on it.

but it's 5.40 am now..and I took a sleeping tab;let at midnight but got distracted here so I didn't really feel it working, normally I can't even type and have to go to bed.

Blah. but anyway, I'll come back and be more thoughtful, but hope you make her that cake! & give her a small gift with it.

I would give her girlfriend honest love and passion; give her something that was from the heart and truly meant meaningful to her. I would buy a Pandora bracelet that represents your relationship as well as a watch a movie that you'll both enjoy. If she likes Japanese clothing, I would buy her a kimono to her style as well as matching accessories to go with it.

In addition, I would also get y'know some other girly stuff to her liking. Just little things that she'll like then surprise her with one or two things that will make her heart melt!

ah, one month was always an awkward gift stage for me at Christmas-- more than casual, but for me usually not real serious yet. one time for Christmas i gave a girlfriend a nice sweater, and then put a charm she wanted on the plastic tag holder so it slid down into view when she lifted up the sweater. it was a surprise that way.
