Symptoms of game corruption?

One of my friends in real has 2 copies of acnl and 2 3ds. She always uses it to do the duplication glitch. I keep telling her that she may corrupt her game and loose everything but she keeps saying that games don't get corrupted but they do.

Sometimes when she connects through the internet or enters her train station her entire screen will go black for a couple of seconds for no reason. Is that a sign of corruption?

I just want to know what corruption looks like so I can stop her before she destroys her game because she puts her life and soul into animal crossing. She just went a little bell crazy after finding out about the glitch.

Please help!

She probably has a magnet by her 3DS. That's happened to me a few times and then I realized I probably shouldn't be playing with snake eggs (high powered magnets that rattle when you throw them together, its like a novelty toy) while using electronics after I accidentally put them too close and made the screen go rainbow

She'll know her game's corrupted when the game asks her to delete her save data, there's no real way of telling really.

She always plays while sitting on her couch. She has her two 3ds on the couch side by side, her phone on her leg, her laptop on the couch arm she's leaning on, her second laptop on the other side of the cough and her ipod on the table. Would that do it?

Um... I've heard of multitasking but that's just a whole 'nother level. They could create an electromagnetic field of sorts but it shouldn't be strong enough to cause any issues.

That's what I said, but when you actually try it it's not that hard. I've done it like, twice because she made me prove it's not that bad. My friend is really...special...I guess you could say.

Anyway, so the screen going black didn't start until after she first did the glitch a couple times. She'd never had it happen before, and it started after she had completed the glitch successfully (She failed a lot at first) 4 or 5 times. So I don't really know what to think of that.

Honesty, just let her do it. If she isn't listening to you let her learn the hard way.

The most I can do is running adverts on my phone for game currency (needs input every 15-30 seconds) whilst having RuneScape running on the computer (input every 1-4 minutes depending what is happening) and then doing whatever on the DS. It really is better to only focus on one thing though or you'll tire.

This is going off-topic, but is this roughly how it works? :
3DS #1: ACNL stuff to fill time
3DS #2: Pok?mon Rumble World, Nintendo Badge Arcade, anything that takes a while to do something
Phone: Facebook Messenger... hopefully doing phone calls
Laptop #1: Plays Netflix
Laptop #2: Just shows a pretty desktop, trundling away on Windows 2000
iPod: Spotify

Yes but it kind of effects me too. She was at my house yesterday and she took one of my games. Ever since I got it back mine has been doing the same thing, and I wouldn't be surprised if she duplicated some of my stuff because on a number of occasions she's asked me to give her some rare items and I refused. It just turns black for a few seconds whenever I'm in the train station or in my own town with gates open. Sorry for not mentioning that before.

She really messed me up yesterday because I had 2 dreamies in boxes and no town to send them to. I couldn't cycle or do any trades until I got it back later that afternoon. But when I got it back it was kinda messed.

Hide it, lol. If she's going to duplicate items, why not just go all the way and spawn new ones in by editing the save data through some means such as Ninjhax?

You've got the gist but this is what she does
3DS #1: ACNL main town
3DS #2: ACNL cycle town
Phone: Text friends, play messenger basketball game, look up acnl stuff
Laptop #1: 12 Tabs open of acnl guides, information etc.
Laptop #2: 6 tabs of acnl stuff, 6 tabs of Episode Interactive stuff
iPod: Look up stuff, text friends, check time

She doesn't have that yet, luckily. If she finds out then she's going to destroy her games. Then destroy one of mine because she's an idiot.

Why did you let her take your game?

Why did you let her take your game?

I didn't. I went to get her coat and she took it out of my case without telling me. After she left I saw my games all over the table and ACNL was gone so I texted her and she admitted to taking it.

I would not invite this friend over if she's taking your games without permission. I'd go nuts if someone did anything to my game without my knowledge. I would just let her do whatever she wants with her games but hands off yours.

That sounds like a seriously unhealthy obsession. Um... um... hmm.

Getting back on-topic, your game will slow down as the town grows. I'm still not sure what you mean about the screen going black - is it sudden and unexpected or is it just an extended loading screen?

You know, each one of those devices listed will be emitting microwaves unless the wireless is disabled on each one.

Not sure what the situation is but perhaps try and convince her to cut back on the exposure with the number of wireless devices and the proximity of them. There are all sorts of debates on stuff like if they increase your chances of cancer and whatnot but I think it's mostly just the mobile signals since they have to travel the furthest and therefore be stronger.

I'll stop post merging. Don't want to get anyone worked up. We all have some sort of obsession, however mild (or to the point at which it becomes no longer an obsession in which case I'm contradicting myself, but hey) but it does all seem a little extreme.

Why not open all the tabs on one laptop? :P

I'll stop post merging.

Bumping the thread isn't exactly what I meant by that, lol. Just meant I'd stop posting on this thread in general for a bit.

I know. :(

I've had my 3DS too close to my tablet and it made the screen go black, so...yeah. I'd say there's a very good chance that's what is happening to her.

She should keep all other electronics a decent distance away from her systems.

It's like, you'll be running somewhere or walking and all of a sudden the sound turns off and the screen just goes to a black screen. The 3ds appears like you've turned it off but it's on. It stays like that for a couple seconds and then returns to normal like nothing happens.

Yea hopefully that's it, it kind of scared me when it happened but I had my two 3ds and my laptop so it was probably the multiple magnetic waves.

It sounds like you can't convince her that corruptions can and do happen. If she keeps messing around and she ruins her game(s), it serves her right. I wouldn't worry about it because she obviously doesn't.
