You could always just re-arrange the bracket for every level so that the team who gets a pass for that level isn't the same every time, but it would be kinda skewed since someone would still get by every level.

You weren't confirmed before the other team and we can only have 8 teams or 16 teams. If we had 9 teams then you would essentially skip over every ladder until the very last which doesn't make any sense.

What if I team up with a CPU then? That way we can have an even 10 teams and Daniel's team would be able to play too.

5 teams would be eliminated the first bracket, so it would cause uneven again. That's why I said 16 is the next highest we can go.
