suggestions for a clown-themed island?

if my name didn't make it too obvious, my island is also literally named clowntown (pietro is a very prized villager) and i want to try to make it a bit circus-y and clown like if that makes sense. what items do you guys suggest? both clothes AND furniture and what not-- i'm looking for it all B)

Came in here to say don't forget Marcel! He's a mime but close enough. Obvious choices for clothes would be the jester items and clown nose. Those spinny wheel furniture items would be good for a carnival theme too.

Astrid has kinda a circus vibe, and obviously Marcel because he was made to go with Pietro lol
other than that, maybe an elephant and a lion to represent real circus animals? there's quite a few naturally coloured lions (Mott, Rory, Elvis), but I think Dizzy would work best as the elephant. also maybe Tia could represent a teacup ride?

for items I'd probably recommend pretty much anything found in Pietro's house, balloons, that white face mask thing lol, teacup ride, jukebox, stalls, clown nose, candy floss stand things...... that's all I got

There are also jester/clown outfits you can dress villagers as if you can't find one to match your theme.

Well Chester obviously needs to move in. Otherwise a festival look would be cool- some of those items have already been mentioned but I'll add: pinball machine, maybe line up the arcade machines on either side?, if theres a mirror items you could make a mirror hall thingy, make some mazes with clown stuff in them etc.

I think Hopkins talks about being filled with hot air... maybe he could fit in a clown themed island if he's actually a balloon... That plug in the back of his head has to be keeping in something.

I would make sure to grab the wheels, too, for carnival games. The wheel of mystery is fun!

palm tree lamp (doesn't the pink one kinda look like feathers), flower stand, shell fountain, beach balls as decoration, bingo wheel, candy machine, diner neon sign, candy cotton stall, popcorn machine, exercise balls as decoration (idk why I wanna put balls everywhere), fortune telling set(ohh you could make a whole fortune telling area), magic kit, flashy flower sign, knife block & magnetic knife rack, paper tiger, soft serve lamp, speed bag, street organ, velvet stool
also all sorts of food like mom cakes, fruit or cupcakes!

you can maybe get all teacup ride variations and have a teacup section along with 2 godzillas fighting each other in the bg? LOL
the resident services can act like a somewhat entrance to the circus in a way hehe

Just some ideas. Several of these have already been mentioned, and I don't know if you're open to opening the theme up to a wider circus theme.

-Marcel
-Astrid (red nose and makeup)
-Chrissy and/or Francine (the white painted face and polka dot style could pass for being somewhat clownish)
-Kabuki (I know kabuki is a completely different thing than clowns, but.... painted face)
-Limburg (Unpopular villager I know, but his stubble and cheeks reminds me of a sad clown. I think he could really work, honestly.)
-Muffy (Gothic, but would be a good counter to Pietro)
-Stitches (the stuffed animal you'd buy at a circus)
-Tabby (She makes ME laugh, at least.)
- Big Top (Circus name and could pass for being a human (well, elephant) cannon ball act)
- Sprinkle (looks like ice cream. not that it's specifically clown related by any means, but I have bother her and Pietro on my island and they are adorable together.)
- Ricky (red nose?)
- Zucker (just because he's silly looking)

There are also cotton candy machines, shaved ice makers and stalls etc you can use to make like a boardwalk/foodtruck area. You can use jail bars and stuffed animals to add to ur circus like theyre circus animals. Etc

It would be funny if you contrasted your fun colorful clowny town where everyone is colorful and whimsical with one boring monochrome office worker... named Raymond. (But the twist is, on the inside he’s the biggest clown of them all!)
