Also, if this is such a pressing issue, why is it in Brewster's?

Have to agree with Psychonaut.Psychonaut said:I'm not down with this, for the sole reason that activity =/= a good mod.
the mods are who they are for a reason, and those who aren't either haven't proven themselves enough, or are not needed a the time.
I think this is kind of a deal with all forums... there's always a complaint about not having enough mods moderating, or overmoderating.. eh.
mods are only necessary if/when a "troll" comes and posts "shocking" pictures. and even then, it's easy enough to just ignore them.
tl;dr, I say nay.
if they don't post, but still log in every now and again, I'd say that's borderline-acceptable, sure, but that doesn't mean they have to have their powers revoked/replaced.Pally said:There are some mods who are just fine. But there are a lot of inactive mods who have like even barely made a post this year. I don't see what the point is of them being mod then.
Also, I'm not saying the most active members should be mod. No the ones who are fit for the job.
Derp.

I haven't seen anyone clamoring for threads to be deleted/locked for days on end, which, aside from the occasional "trolling" attempt, is about all a mod is good for.
forums can exist without mods/admins. imo, this forum's lucky that both jeremy AND miranda are active, and so nice.
but then again, where I come from, the only mod in sight is the youngest member, and has no clue what he's doing, while the admin is off busy having a life. I think he popped in about once a year, if we were lucky. good times, lots of spam. <3
