I've tried and tried and tried and tried and tried and tried the last few months, EVERY SINGLE SPOT, Nintendo Zone, SpotPass, etc, ALL say they're not giving away items. It looks like New Leaf DLC has ended (sometime in November I got the Diver's Hood, which was the final item).

I didnt realize it was over. that's a bummer. people on another forum were also saying the diver's hood in november was last item. somebody said though that europe dlc still worked at least as of december.

i dont think anything new came out-- they were releasing "japan-only" items here in north america last year, but it was stuff you could (and still can) trade for on the various forums.
