My childhood franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog, turned 25th today on June 23rd, 2016.
To celebrate, I thought I'd make a topic about the blue blur himself!

But I'd also like to state that Humble Bundle, a safe and reliable gaming store, is doing a charity event where if you donate to charity with a specific amount, you will receive keys for sonic games on steam. If you just donate around 10 dollars, you will receive all the Sonic the Hedgehog games on steam, and trust me, they are worth it. I paid full price for each and every one of these games on steam.

What is fondest memory with the loving blue hedgehog himself? Favorite game? Gotta go fast? Haha

Thanks for letting us know about humble bundle ~

My favorite games by far are the Adventure games simply because I grew up playing them so much. I was a little kid when dreamcast came out!! However, I spent a majority of the time playing the SA2B on gamecube!! I still have the memory card and my chao I've had since this version came out! Their name is Peaches and they're a blue chao whose always been a hero chao (after rebirthing a million times over.)

My fondest memory has to be playing with my now ex best friend back in 3rd grade. We used to stay up nonstop playing SA2B levels over and over just for our chao. Funny how my mind was so easily amused back then!!

there are people that think humble bundle is a scam enough to confirm its not? last I checked practically everyone was fully aware of it being legit

I've met people who, by first glace, thought that it was a scam because it was "too good to be true" or they've never had experience with it since it's mostly a PC platform store. I just wanted to state it out just to be safe, so I could encourage more people to try it out!

Better safe than nothing.

huh, alright then

though obviously different groups, but this combined with the people that would literally steal steam keys for games plus the people that would demand full refund for anything they don't like is really quite bizarre in perspective

Sonic has been with me pretty much most of my life. It got me into video games, helped me connect with my best friend, inspired creativity in me, and other great things. It's sad to see the game series taking a turn for the worse lately, but I will always love the and cherish the old games. I follow the official Tumblr blog and other Sonic blogs to get my daily dose. I collected Sonic plushes, figures, and other merch as a kid. I still have a whole shelf of it in my room.

Edit: Also, the official Sonic Tumblr even promoted the Humble Bundle. I've never heard of the Humble Bundles ever being a scam either.

Awesome! I nearly forgot about this. I'm a huge Sonic the Hedgehog fan, definitely as much as I am an Animal Crossing fan, and even though recent games in the series have sucked, I still love it. Sonic Adventure remains my favourite video game of all-time.

Sanik is really going downhill fast after Sonic Boom .-. It makes meh sad, also I find it really cringe when people make those really weird Fan Arts 0-0 and their own original characters like a new one everyday. There are already way too many Sonic characters

Congratulations are in order, because it's astonishing when something manages to hold on to relevancy for so long when the large majority of what they're in is such trash.

"But Colours and Generations! Those totally cancel out the mountains of trash!"

Kudos to Sonic, the Adam Sandler of gaming.

Yea, things only started going downhill after Sonic Boom...

Spot on. They should have just sent Sonic into early retirement after Sonic & Knuckles.

To Me Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are the Same game to me. Just Cut into two as they was short on time. But Sonic 3 and Knuckles are the best ever and the Last Good Game. Unless the Dreamcast game are good but not so much.

I am Still Dreaming and Long Live Sega.

The Downfall of sonic is After Sonic Avd 2 on the dreamcast.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle I poured hours into and generally I've liked all the Sonic games up to his more recent exploits on Wii. Generations was pretty good, Unleashed was okay dayside, and Boom I skipped because I didn't like the appearance. The show was kinda funny though.

I'm surprised a lot of people didn't like games past the classics. I grew up with all of the games and every time one came out I had to have it. For me personally I stopped liking the recent games past Sonic Unleashed. Sonic Boom was probably almost as bad as Sonic 06. Even I like Sonic 06 for the cutscenes and funny glitch fests. List of Sonic games that I played and really enjoyed:

- Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 & 3
- Sonic the Hedgehog CD
- Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
- Sonic & Knuckles
- Sonic the Fighters
- Sonic 3D Blast
- Sonic's Schoolhouse (played this as a kid on the computer)
- Sonic R
- Sonic Adventure
- Sonic Shuffle
- Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
- Sonic Advance (Series)
- Sonic Battle
- Sonic Heroes
- Shadow the Hedgehog
- Sonic Riders
- Sonic and the Secret Rings
- Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
- Sonic Unleashed
