Introduction ❄️

Welcome to the fourth iteration of TBT's Season of Giving! In this event, you earn Snowflakes through participating in our holiday-themed events, and then use those Snowflakes to purchase Holiday Gift boxes from Jingle's Sled. In the spirit of Christmas, you aren't buying these collectibles for yourself, but rather you purchase them for your fellow forum members! On Christmas Day, these gift boxes will open to reveal the collectibles hidden inside. 🎁

Events ❄️

TBT's Season of Giving 2024 includes eleven events to participate in. Most of these events will award you Snowflakes, while some contain other prizes. Each thread will include a breakdown of prizes available and how to obtain them.

Top Gift Givers Leaderboard ❄️

Our Top Gift Givers Leaderboard has returned for 2024! Each day, the top gift giver from the past 24 hours will earn a prize in the form of an honorary title and a special username colour to highlight their generosity! The top gift giver will be calculated on a points system, with each point earned being equivalent to the amount of Snowflakes sent. For example, sending one gift would earn you 25 points that day. In the event of a tie there are other aspects we'll look at, so be sure to check the Leaderboard thread for more information. Also, please note that it is only possible to earn this prize once!

At 7PM EST each day the top gift giver from the past 24 hours will be announced in the Top Gift Givers Leaderboard thread.

This years user titles and username colours are:

December 14th: Uncle Drosselmeyer
December 15th: One Wise Man
December 16th: Mary Hatch Bailey
December 17th: Mr. Duncan
December 18th: La Befana
December 19th: The Little Drummer Boy
December 20th: Julbock the Yule Goat
December 21st: Olaf the Warm Hug Giver
December 22nd: Cindy Lou Who
December 23rd: The Nisse
December 24th: Scrooge Redeemed
December 25th: Father Christmas

TBT's Pledge for Charity ❄️

In the spirit of giving, TBT will be donating money to charity for every present gifted on the forum. Each Snowflake spent on holiday gifts will result in 1.5 cents going to charity. That means if you were to send five gifts to your friends throughout the event, $1.88 would be donated to charity. Each gift box is linked to a charity, except for one which will be split between the four.

We would also like to encourage the members of our community to donate to these causes or other charities of your choice, if you are able to. With each daily gift giver leaderboard posted, we will also include the amount of money raised for each charity on that day. If you would like to add to the daily totals we post, please email the donation email confirmation you receive from the charity to tbt@belltreeforums.com.

the pledge to charities?? oh bell tree y'all are just amazing 😭 🩷
can't wait to participate in these fun events now that i have free time!!

Ahhhh I'm so happy it's here!!! 🥳 I can't wait to see what's inside the boxes 👀 (it's okay if I shake them, there's nothing fragile in there, right?)

I don't know if I have enough energy to participate in everything (and I don't feel like I'm close enough to anyone to do Secret Stocking Stuffers 😅). But luckily, the rewards are really generous, so I won't need to in order to exchange one of each present! (though of course, any extras I can manage would still be nice just for the charity aspect!)

Oooh you’ve been with Bell Tree a long time! I’m just a newb and getting back in after a longish hiatus. Merry Christmas!🎄

Love the charities this year! I am definitely getting Red Gifts. It personally means a lot to me so I may do more events than I am comfortable with. I did a water project once so the Blue Gift has my attention too. I know I won't win any of these events but its about the giving. Love that the advent calendar is back too!

I will note that you definitely don't need to be close to anybody to participate in Secret Stocking Stuffers! I'm sure anybody who receives a stocking from you would be elated you chose them! If you don't feel comfortable choosing a regular member, you are free to choose anybody on the staff as well, similar to our Valentine's Day event from almost 4 years ago! it might spoil the surprise since we can see all the entries, but hey, it's the thought that counts!

It’s also the picking out items and being able to explain why you chose them part- I feel like I could maybe pick out something based on their avatar/sig or something I vaguely remember them mentioning once, but I’d be clueless for everything else .__.

If they had an OC/Island Rep I could make things related to that, but I draw really slow so I don’t think I’d have enough time to do both that and art for other events. So I’d just end up photographing generic gifts as filler but uh oh! It turns out they’re allergic to chocolate and I picked mittens for someone who lives in Florida… 😅

lol I am clearly overthinking this 😆

I REALLY need to get started on all these. lol!!! Omg I’ve been so soooooooo busy the last week. I’m hoping to get a bunch done on Friday since I’m FINALLY off 2 days in a row!!!! Thurs I gotta wrap real presents lol but maybe I can at least get my jingle workshop done thurs night.

Woah! 4 years ago already!? Say it isn’t so! Time sure flies. I really enjoyed that event and any events that include making something for someone else. I know people are hard on themselves for “not being good enough” but no need to worry guys. No matter how unskilled you think you are you will still make the person’s day for putting in time and effort to make them something. :)
