SOME people take this game way to seriously! The game doesn't seem very fun anymore..

Tina should come soon. Or anyone.
Oh, before it's locked, I think it wasn't one person, it was all of us at fault.

It doesn't require locking. There is nothing wrong with people having contrasting opinions.

Ty Tina its getting kinda worse tho people have starting being a little bit offensive so i have just told everyone to calm down and share their opinions! :)

Move past discussing the supposed "drama" and stick to the thread topic. Thank you.

I made a thread just saying that friendship is key :) so that should make people understand and stick to the topic >:3

I do think the ACNL community is changing over time, but I expect it's a result of how long the game has been out. Once you've been around the calendar once, you start looking for new things to do. I spent a long time obsessing over my catalog, and I was trading items much more at that time. Then I moved on to filling a town with specific villagers, and it's true that I am not trading as often on the other boards. I'm sure that I am much less helpful to people, simply because I'm not spending as much time trading and getting to know people. Now I'm working more on what the town looks like, which was something I didn't care about at all initially. I think people go through different stages in different orders, and people restarting probably go through all the stages at the same time:)

I liked how the OP grew to like Robin. I moved villagers around so slowly initially that I ended up being unable to part with a lot of them:)

Yeah, I do agree, some people take this game way too seriously. :). But the game does attract these types. We all love collecting, achieving, accomplishing things and taken to extreme, sometimes this is way happens. I think it also attracts perfectionists, which also adds fuel to the fire, lol. :)

I totally agree. I don't care much for getting millions of bells, I spend them as soon as I get enough to buy something.
I do want my dreamies though.
BUT, I'm always up for a trade to help someone out, either if it's fair or I'm a good friend of theirs. :3

I haven't been able to help out too much lately either because what time I have playing I'm really working on getting my town into some semblance or order from all the chaos I have all over it. :) I have a very hard time visualizing how to set up my town and PWP's, and the time it takes me to do a few things keeps me from currently trading much or helping people out.

But yeah, it's all in how we play and being in different stages. The further I get, sometimes I am busier on here and sometimes not; it depends! There are so many wonderful and helpful people here, and thankfully not too many not-so-nice ones. I think the nicer ones are definitely the biggest chunk of this terrific community.

I'm glad you are feeling better, Olivia!
