SOME people take this game way to seriously! The game doesn't seem very fun anymore..

I mean I guess there are some jerks, and the handful of people who take it too seriously, but I've seen so many nice people offering starting packages to beginners or people who have had their game corrupted.

from your opening post, it sounds like these are just preferences. some people really like getting as much out of the game as possible, while others would rather play more simply. no one gave me anything when I started the game, but I grew my own hybrids and saved up my own bells (though I don't have too much of the latter because I'm lazy). I really don't see the problem in people not wanting to help anyway. no one's obligated to help others with their games.
 
I've met a fair few rude people on here and those that rip each other apart over like villager auctions but lets be honest

If someone paid for a game they can do what they like with it. Noone's forcing other people to play it a certain way at all. I'd still have a pretty terrible looking town with villagers I dislkied if I hadn't had joined this site, and to criticize people that want to be perfectionists about it is just ridiculous like how does it affect your life ahah
 
I mean (I know it's a totally different game it was the first one that came to mind)

if someone told someone that wanted to complete all of the missions on like gta or something thoroughly that they were being ridiculous and they should "enjoy it more"????
 
Ok Update on my opinion!!!!!

Mostly I think its Yes And No to be honest!

Yes:-
Some people can manipulate others by taking their things or by not letting them leave the island etc.
(You have to flick the wi-fi switch)
A very small amount of people might not follow your town rules or stay on your paths (trampling your hybrids etc)

No:-
Most people are nice on this forum anyway.
Most people help each other if their games got corrupted or something.
Most people can help with your town to make it nice :)
Most people can help get your dreamies :3

I agree. Some people are taking it too serious. They are crying when a villager they don't like moves in and they wanna reset right away. That's just bull****. I don't care about how rich they are, I only have 20k and I'm fine with it. Some peeps got 100 million, that isn't a bad thing. It's nice to have millions of bells so ik okay with that. But the whole plot reset thing is going to far. Some peeps are plot resetting here and it takes them 5 days to get the villager were they want. That's so ridiculous. Its a game, you don't have tk spend 5 days of your life with plot resetting cause you want Diana next to the river.

But if I've spent time making my town look nice then it's my time wasted, not anyone elses
 
i have like 3.2 million bells but i got that by selling hybrids, mostly blue roses...

but i have found a few people on here like to "show off" how rich they are in the game... to be honest, i think that is very pathetic...its fake money, its not even real! i understand some people have millions of bells like i do.. but i don't show off like that... to be honest... i almost kinda screamed when i got that amount of bells from selling hybrids because i didn't think i would ever get that kind of money! besides, i spent most of it on pwp, my house, giveaways and giving it to overs how have lost their town due to data lost, that happen to me so i know how it feels :(

that is very true! i spend hours and hours on acnl everyday just to make sure everything is ok and make sure my town looks perfect! i may have only had it for a week and a bit but i think it looks great!
 
The goal of this game is to get a perfect town, all badges, mainstreet and museum complete, etc. And your town isn't perfect if Hamlet lives on your gold roses. So I do understand that you plot reset to get them on a good place but I think it's weird to spend a week to get everyone in a row. I like messy towns, I like towns with villagers spreaded that can be pretty too. Anyway, that's my opinion it's ok to plot reset so they will settle in on a empty place instead of youre hybrids but youre taking it way too serious if you spend a month to get Marshal next to that lemon tree. ;)

i normal don't plot reset because i like my villagers and trust them to put their houses in a good spot XD and it normal works... but it didn't for bob... i hate you bob!! lol XD he put is house right in the middle of my path! but he moved out... then someone put their house in his old spot... WHHHHY!?!
 
I personally agree with a lot of what you said. While I do plot reset its never to an obsessive point and usually find a spot after a few tries. While its their game and are able to do what they want with it, its kinda unhealthy to obsess over it. It also shortens the game in my opinion to achieve all the things you want too quickly.

Also don't ever let someone bully you just because you have an unpopular opinion OliviaMagica.
