Smash Bros Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U Discussion Thread

Argh, haven't played with a friend since October last year, first time fighting him and goddamn, his Mewtwo is a beast D': Atleast he said my Ness was good, apparently I'm well timed with Ness' headbutt.

Already a topic on that, buddy.

These Mewtwo mirrors are just too funny, Just need fanart of Mewtwo in summer clothing playing volleyball and my life will be complete.

Teams: Mario and Toon Link vs. Mewtwo and Phantom Ganon.

I'm entering my first local tournament on Saturday. I'm doing singles and doubles with a friend, super excited and nervous. I just hate that my friend is being super vague on the details. "It's by Target, and I think Final Destination is allowed." That's it.

We won the doubles. They're going to do future tournaments, and I really hope it doesn't end up like today's. The TV didn't work, so we had to watch the Gamepad. I mistook a Ness for Kirby at one point...
Prize was that my partner and I got to pie each other in the face. That should be the prize at all double tourneys. :3 We also each got a $20 Target card but that doesn't matter nearly as much as us pying each other.

All 4 people had to watch from the Gamepad? Dang.

Although "pying" each other sounds sweet.

there is a special place in hell reserved for Sakurai

How many people played in it?

There was a new tournament that started near me a few weeks ago that I went to and they're doing it again next month. There were about 35 people in the Wii U tournament. It was the first one I went to- won my first game, but then got bopped into loser's where I just barely lost my last game. They didn't do doubles (yet).

Only 16, so 8 teams. I know about 5 people who were busy yesterday, and another 2 or so people who just didn't know about it, so it will hopefully have a better turnout next time.

Didn't get to go to my local Smash tourney because work but I wasn't too bummed bc I already got the grand prize, a gold mario haha. But I was a bit salty I couldn't scope out the local competition and meet some new Smashers man. But a few of my boys went and one of them made top 8 so that's all good.

I feel really dumb because we have a really solid smash community in my town and we have a weekly every monday night with melee, P:M, and sm4sh and all the guys hang out alllll the time and play and I've been here forever and have never really went... mainly because I have to pick between smash and RAW which is realllly hard because all I care about is WWE and smash bros :')

I'm definitely going tomorrow though but the semester is almost over and theres only one or two more. but its fine because once I get to know everyone I can just hang out with them and play!
