if/when you move villagers in and out, how do you make sure they plot in the right place? i have four characters planned out for my town, as well as 10 dreamies, but i feel like eventually i'll want to switch one or two villagers just for change in scenery. however, if i have four characters, i won't be able to plot reset ;;;;

kind of in a dilemma... should i just keep absolutely permanent villagers, or should i go through the pain of pathing over EVERYTHING (which is hard, bc i have a lot of flowers and trees/bushes planted), with the off chance that i might have missed ONE bad 3x3 spot that they'll move into?

if you have four characters, what have you decided to do with your villager situation?

thank youuu! :blush:

I think the only thing you can do is place down patterns to be totally sure they go where you need them to. I usually pick the 10 villagers I'd like in my towns with the intention of keeping them permanently if possible. Then i just hold off on making and keeping a fourth character until I have the villagers all plotted :(
I'm sorry I can't be of more help than that!

The only way is to cover everything with paths and make sure you don't leave a valid 3x3 spot except the one that you'd want the villager to move into. Typically the ones that people forget are the space around trees and flowers. I have three characters in my town but I don't do plot resetting anymore and so far, they never plotted in the wrong place.

Paving over things seems easiest, but I know someone who, prior to the update, would delete their easiest to "remake" character and plot like that.
