IT'S TV TIME!
O'Hare- best villager by far (imo!) I love him, he was the first to give me his pic and he's just so cute and adorable and he has a little hat and I just love everything about him!!<3
Tom- cutest cranky villager ever, he's so sweet and cute and it sucks that he's so underrated!
Snake- he's really cool! I like the whole ninja gimmick and he should be more popular
Fuschia- best designed sisterly villager imo, she's really cute and she also sings a lot
Static- I've been seeing him get more love lately but he's still underrated, one of my fav squirrels!

other people have said stinky, but it still makes me so sad to see people hate himi do appreciate that animal crossing has its fair share of """ugly""" cats like tabby, stinky, and katt and not just super cutesy ones
Doc- That cute lazy blue bunny. He seems to always reading books when i see him (especially when he sits on the toilet in his house reading books, it's funny)

Carmen - Anything mint colored immediately becomes my favorite as mint is my favorite color! I just loved how Carmen has this mint chocolate color scheme!
Chevre - She’s also another nice villager and her design is minimal but cuuute!
Lily - I personally think she’s one of the best frog villager designs out there!
Buck - Most people don’t like jock villagers in general but imo I like Buck! He’s one of the starter jocks so that’s why he’s so special to me! ^-^
Hazel - I feel like everyone hates her for her unibrow but it reminds me a lot of Frida Kahlo.
Mira - Shes no longer in my island buuuuut she is one of the more we’ll designed uchi villagers out there! Also she was one of my starter villagers!
Chevre - She’s also another nice villager and her design is minimal but cuuute!

Canberra - I'm always talking about her on here lol but yeah I love Canberra so much. She was my starter uchi and I'm so grateful because I also had her in New Leaf and she was basically my best friend in my NL town. I understand why some people might not like her design but I think it suits her so well.
Blaire - I'm surprised she's not popular because I think she's so cute. I guess she gets overshadowed by other squirrels but I love her. Her house interior is gorgeous. Also I love how my Blaire is always wearing glasses, they look adorable on her. I love seeing her strolling around in her glasses with her little handbag. I didn't know her before NH but she's became one of my favorite snooties!
Also, looking at pics of her on google it seems like she wore a different outfit in past games but I absolutely love the new outfit she's wearing in NH!

Tom is BABY I can't even-Honestly, Moe and Tom are two of my favorites. I'm happy that I've been seeing more people interested in them lately! I love them both.

Filbert is just The Best. He is small. He is round. He is blue. He has cute pink cheeks. He smiles all day long. He is the best boy. I love him.
Also Vladimir. He's sassy. He's cranky. He's bright pink. He is an icon and should be loved by the masses.

Renée was one of my starter villagers, and when I first started my island, I thought for sure I was going to boot her asap. But as I kept playing, I realized how much I loved her design with her personality. She’s just... a neon punk rhino who is a mixture of super cool/bad b* and super caring older sister vibes. I dig her!
Kidd is probably my favorite Smug of the entire cast! I’ve always kinda wanted him, and when I finally got him on my island, I was not disappointed. His appearance and house screams ‘little gentleman’ which seems quite fitting for the smug personality!

But I seriously love that horse. He was my first Smug in New Leaf, and just the best. He's so cute; I love his fairy tale prince aesthetic. I was like GASP when they really leaned into that in New Horizons by giving him the prince shirt. He's just 100% my type. A really sweet, well designed villager. A very underrated Smug, but I'll always advocate for him!
I'm also a really big fan of Snake these days ever since he was a starting villager on my island. He's sooooo cute, my favorite rabbit to be sure and a wonderful Jock. I'm really glad they made his face even more adorable than it used to be, and even happier that they changed his shirt to make him look like a proper ninja. He's so friendly and funny.

OH AND PAPI. Why don't more people talk about him?! Okapis are super cute and Papi definitely so! Very great Lazy, I was so glad to have him for a little while in New Leaf.

Gaston - I would write a love letter to Gaston. Every time I see him waddling about, or sitting in the most hilarious places holding a lollipop, or just doing nothing (because even doing nothing he's wonderful), I crack a smile, or a smirk. Every time I enter his house it reinforces why I've grown to like him so much.
Cousteau - One of the few jocks I really love, and it's also quite recent like Gaston. I love his house exterior, first of all, which has become an increasingly important factor for me in the villagers I have on my island (mostly to make sure they fit into certain areas/themes). I also love his restaurant interior with the random goldfish, and how he looks like he's always smiling. (Wait, do I have a French thing? Gaston, Cousteau... Yes. I do.)
Walt - Walt, like Gaston, really exudes the cranky aesthetic and personality so well. And he's a Kangaroo in a blue kimono. What's not to like? Unlike all of the other Kangaroos, for the record, I could never stomach having on my island, but Walt is special.
Pierce - He technically recently moved away, but I really miss him now. While I am happy to have Cousteau as my jock villager, Pierce was just all-around cool. Some of the eagles kind of creep me out or bug me, but I love his design. He reminds me of Kass from BotW which can never be a bad thing.

I mean I agree that Stinky isn't so bad (not a fan of him personally but there are far worse villagers out there and I can see the appeal), but to be fair, both nookipedia and AC wiki call it underwear and are incredibly popular fan wikis so people may get it from there:
And tbh I do think it's a fair assumption given his name and coloring, especially if you don't actually know that his character has a wrestling theme. His wrestling theme actually is kinda cool though, I like his house.
To stay on-topic though--the least popular villager on my island is Portia and I always say this but that should not be the case! I guess she gets overshadowed by other snooties like Diana, Ankha, and the snooty wolves, but she's every bit as cute as they are!
I mean just look at her. The dress they gave her in NH is such a big upgrade from before, she's a true fashion queen now. She's always watering my flowers and catwalking around my island looking fabulous. And she's a dalmatian, how is she not more popular?
