I am losing interest in my first town and I was wondering if I should reset.
I haven't been on too much so all my dreamies are slowly moving away, I also hate my map and it makes it hard to pull my town together. Also, I just feel the need for a fresh start, where I will play day-by-day and not TT to get what I want.

I think you already know what you want to do because of this statement: "I also hate my map and it makes it hard to pull my town together."

Why keep going if you hate your map? You can find a better one! :)

Thank you too everyone who has answered so far!
I will be following what ever has the most votes by 6PM tonight!

So just comment your thoughts on this and vote on if I should reset or not!

It sounds like you don't really like your town, and you hate your map. That generally points towards resetting. You can get back villagers you loved, get all the shops unlocked and all the PWPs you want again, but if you don't reset you're stuck with a town you don't like.
I say you should reset, but if you want to try to make the best of your town, feel free to.

It's a little sad to give up on Plaza Tree, but everything else is not so hard to catch up. So I vote for a reset.

Looking for a perfect town to live in is really fun, as much as living in one. I've never regreted my final reset. It's important to love the place you work on if you're an experienced player. I think almost everyone (not those with cool maps from the beginnig) reset or create another town eventually - to make it shine.

In my experience, if you are ever unhappy with your Animal Crossing town, you should always reset. You can always get everything back, and the time you spend in a town that you actually appreciate is much more satisfying than spending time and resources on a town that you don't really care for anymore. I say go ahead and reset.

This exactly. I have learned that it's better to have a map you like. Otherwise you will always be unhappy with your town.

Still 20 minutes til I decide what I am going to do!

Look for my other forum on what my town name should be (considering I will most likely be resetting)

I still have my original original town before I knew any sites existed and it's evolved a little and I don't play it as much but I wouldn't take it away..I got a second cartridge instead when that happened for a breather then went back to work to make it my completed perfect town..I regret some of the changes but I am glad I kept it. Now I am at the point only one dream left where I have had an extra cart a long time if I want to ever just start fresh and no dreams just see what happens like old times no manipulation a or cycle not sure but I wouldn't give up my first town. But I know everyone can't get another copy. So if that's the case and it's not a really old completed type town as you can replace villagers then yeah do it. Just presenting both sides, if you can't fresh start without doing it then do it, if you can then keep it so no regrets. I know that didn't help but it is your choice and if you can't get a second copy then maybe go for it if you are losing interest due to it.

I think I'm late but I agree that you should probably restart. Especially because you seem to not like your town that much, and you can get your dreamies back much faster. :)

Good luck on your new town if you restart!

It's a very sad thought to destroy something you once invested so much time, energy and love in, but I understand the frustration. I recently attained an ideal town of Cocoplum. But I could never delete it. It has Octavian, Grizzly, Zucker, Marina, Coco, Ankha, Kid Cat, Flora and my two forever darlings Carmen and Merry. It would break me apart to send them into the void. So I started another town, Corvidae, in order to give me a new creative outlet for AC. Whatever decision you make, I wish you the best of good luck :)
