I restarted and I really like this map I've gotten it has a windy river and I get to have a big garden area! but I'd like to hear other people's opinion. Basically the town met most of my criterias.
- West coast
- interesting river
- apples
- blue station
The only thing I didn't get was triangle grass and nice villagers :/ so what do you guys think?
It's all up to you. Personally I wouldn't like a map like that. I love the single piece beach though. And I also like how the house is up in the corner by the river. That's really cool.
The triangle grass is my favorite. I had it in Wild World. I didn't even think about it when creating my town (I have squares) though. as Amanda said, it's a very small detail. If you like the map, don't change it over grass.
Too much water, you will probably regret it, because you will have less space for PWP and stuff.
I got a map almost the same as yours, and I can?t even fit in a third player properly, trust me you don?t want the river to be like that.
Personally I wouldn't go for a map with such a huge river, when the villagers move in and take up more space you won't be left with much for PWPs and other houses (if you are interested in making more than 1 character that is). But to each their own, if you like it, go for it.
This was my very first map, and I put my house exactly where you've placed it. The next day someone placed their house DIRECTLY in front of mine. Just a warning...

Maybe I'm not seeing what you're seeing, but I think that river is going to get really annoying. It's leaving two of those really narrow areas in the top corners and that little bend left of the middle might be a problem as well. You can see that the house occupying that space is taking a lot more room than it normally would, as there's no room to fit anything else in there.
I think that map is really cool! I love windy, curvy rivers and these narrow areas they create in the top corners of the town. Pretty cool ramp as well ><
The only thing I dislike would be the lake/big pond... but that's only my opinion^^
It's completely up to you but since you are asking for opinions, the only thing I like about that map is the ramp at the bottom. I personally think you could find something much better.
I really don't get why people don't like windy rivers...
in other words I don't get what people see in straight rivers that just go from one side to the other...
These towns don't feel any bigger to me... In fact they feel smaller o.o But that's only me I guess...
It also depends on where the villagers live, how many ponds a town has etc... hah maps are so complicated in NL^^'
To be honest, I don't really like that kind of layout. I prefer straight rivers that don't curve all over the place.
But it's your choice and since it met most of your expectations, maybe you should keep it!
