Should another villager be top of tier 1?

So I know Raymond has been top of tier one for a while, and Marshal replaces him sometimes, but do you think any other villagers should be tier one instead of him? Personally, I think Dom should. With his adorable facial expressions and his fluff, I think he'd be the perfect fit! Who do you think should replace Raymond for #1 (if someone should lol)?

I think those villager tiers just represent which villager is most sought after online rather than which villager is the "best." Personally I consider Tom to be one of the "best" villager in the game, but I also consider Raymond to be rightfully on top of tier 1 due to his popularity online. I've seen many people online get Raymond in their town solely because he is "popular" (thus contributing to his tier 1 status) only to find they don't actually like him that much. Casual players who are not involved in the online AC community probably have vastly different opinions on which villager is their favorite since they are not influenced by online popularity at all. It would be interesting to see which villagers they think are the "best."

I honestly think Diana should be up there along with Reneigh. I think their looks fits their personality so well.

I agree that I would have not considered Raymond if it wasn't for his popularity online but I like his that his fangs show when he talks and I love his dancing.

I wouldn’t have bat an eye at Raymond if it weren’t for the fact that my older brother majored in accounting (he’s just started his career!) That’s the only reason I’m targeting him and if I find my other dreamies it’ll be no skin off my nose.

as for my opinion, Sterling should be top-tier. He’s a knight eagle! If he had a ballroom like he does in NL, he’d definitely place higher in tier lists.

If the top of the top tier means the most popular, it’s clearly Raymond. I don’t personally care for Raymond, so it’s not because I love him; it’s just accurate— he is still the most popular, by far. No one suggested in this thread has the widespread popularity he has, regardless of whether that’s how it should be!

all of my dream villagers deserve to be top tier imo but i’m biased since they’re literally my dream villagers lmao. like others have said, the tier lists are more about popularity than anything else - a personal tier list wouldn’t be the same for every person. raymond might be someone’s #1 but like shown in this thread, a different villager could be someone else’s #1, like dom ^~^

I feel like there's a lot more love for Dom than Raymond these days in general, from what I see on Twitch and elsewhere.

As far as I'm concerned, Coco is the only S+ tier villager, and that's that on that.
