Screwed up kinda big time

Due to region limitations i had to factory reset my 3DS (Pokebank wasn't available in my country), and by accident i placed the date in the wrong year, and now i am in February 2013, and stuff happened before my town even "got created", like Sterling's move in.

Now i want to get back to the present. Is there a problem in travelling all these days at once, after i make sure nobody wants to move? I know i'll lose all my friendship towards everyone. I just want to know if there's something else that will happen if i travel about 360 days at once.

Did anyone move out? Is your town covered by all weeds/bamboos? Besides that I guess all of them forget about you? guess nothing else =)

I believe a villager will move without telling you, and a plot will show up for a new villager on the 360th day because I tried doing the TT money trick on my old game that required TTing year by year and that happened to my villagers :/

Well, that will be kinda sad, tomorrow (March 2nd) is my birthday and if it seems there is like no way to get someone to high friendship before that day lol

So its like doing a reset, but with everything there and lots of weeds?

You can TT back to few days before today and talk to them as much as you can! Try to get the friendship go up and until you re satisfied come back to the actual date =)

I'm guessing you'll find a LOT of weeds and one or two villagers missing, there might even be one or two rafflesia. But it's nothing that can't be fixed!

Set to Beautiful ordinance, wait until someone asks to move and you stop them, then it shouldn't be a problem. I jumped ahead two years (on a new character) with those conditions, and the town looked fine and no one had moved. Yep, you'll have to start over your friendships, but I find after the first cold conversation ("You finally decided to talk to me?"), it should be back to normal pretty quickly.

I accidentally time travelled one year in the past, and had to TT again one year in the future to make it sync with the present date. I was able to do so without any accidental moveouts, and very minimal weeds, if any.

Ras is right; you should set Beautiful Ordinance, and then make sure to reject a moveout immediately before travelling forward. Any setback to friendships was actually pretty minimal! Roscoe gave me his picture after only a week of being back in present time.

edit/add: If you want to check if anything will mess up when you TT one year forward, go to your settings and set the system clock one year foward. Start your game with a new character (do *NOT* load a pre-existing character) and check your village for any unusual happenings. If everything looks okay, then you can set back the system clock to your normal date, and then load the game with your mayor, instructing Isabelle to set the time to the date you want to use.
