I didn't manage to catch a scorpion in august. But I understand they still spawn in september?

But now there are crickets and bell crickets, which make it very difficult for scorpions to spawn.

Should I TT back to august and catch one, or stay and hope for the best?

its only september first so id say your best bet would be to tt back to the last few days of august if you put your game to real-time

I checked and no one specified that the scorpion stops appearing after September 1st.
