Scorpion Island

I saw a lot of posts going around about tarantula island but I didn't see any about scorpion island, so I thought it wasn't a thing until I came across it myself :0 I was intending to turn it into butterfly island for emperor butterfly farm, but the island had other plans







I know you can technically create 'tarantula island', but does it also work for scorpions? I don't really know their spawn requirements

Yeah I'm in the southern hemisphere! I tried following the instructions for the diy tarantula island, hoping it'd be the same for scorpions, but no luck

if i remember correctly, scorpions will start showing up in may in the northern hemisphere

Yeah they're summer! They'll be leaving soon in the southern hemisphere so northern hemisphere peeps will get them soon!

Cool! I’m in the Southern Hemisphere too. I’ve only come across a scorpion on my own island. I’m going to rack up on Nook Miles+ again this evening and do a few island tours myself. Haven’t had much luck with getting anything all that different though on each trip.

My son made his island Southern Hemisphere.. the reason I couldn’t duplicate the tarantula trick is because no bugs spawn. Not even a wharf roach...

Oh yeah no tarantulas yet for the southern hemisphere I mostly got the regular bugs like bell crickets when I tried to do the tarantula trick (was hoping for scorpions)

I tried to make an island into a scorpion island but running off all the bell crickets is such an annoying task. Maybe, 5 spawned but it was nothing like tarantula island or what you got. Though it did help as that is how I managed to catch a scorpion than on my island because I had too many trees and would just get outright assassinated.

I think southern hemisphere is better off making bank off the abundance of sharks.

Yeah farming sharks is faster than getting lucky with landing on scorpion island at the mystery tour my northern hemisphere friends have been farming my island for sharks the whole week. Pretty sure they've caught more sharks on my own island than I have
