It's possible she somehow lost Marschel or gave him to someone else and might be trying to avoid you because of that :\ especially if she had been in contact with another member recently. Of course that's still just as bad, but, egh..

What makes me mad the most is the week after she claimed Merengue, she made a post about Bluebear moving :/

Why won't the mods allow blacklisting then? I thought it was a good thing to warn people for scammers?

Because people would end up accusing each other when they didn't do anything wrong.

If they had a bad experience with a person or don't like a person, or a misunderstanding.

You should probably bring this to the attention of the popular villager trading tumblrs out there, so no one else gets scammed by them.

So sorry to hear that. It's a really crappy feeling.
I gave someone Maple for Punchy...and after they picked up Maple they
never opened their gate for me to come get Punchy (if they even ever had him to begin with...).
Karma goes around though. What people put out into the world will come back to them.

Im reading the blacklist in the villager trade tumblr and the person who scammed you seems to have done it to other people but keeps changing urls and deactivating :s well thats according to the blog at least

i'm sorry for what happened to you. It makes me think that when trading popular villagers both parties should visit each other before the villagers are in boxes, so you know at least they have them in their town. On reddit I always check the blacklist and cautious list or check the other users older posts out, just gives you a little idea of who they are. Other than that, there is no guarantee i guess.

Furthermore, the person you made this thread about doesn't even come onto TBT. They have nothing to do with our site, so this thread doesn't belong here even more. If you get scammed on tumblr that's your own fault for making deals with complete strangers. That's why our site is here. So you can play your game with people you can trust.


I'm going to start giving out warnings to people that make anymore blacklisting threads.
