Animal Crossing: New Horizons' ESRB rating states that the title will have "in-game purchases".
Is it going to be DLC?
If it is what would you like as DLC?

I hope there is a direct this February just for ACNH

i’m not sure what i’d like for dlc, but i really hope that it doesn’t cost money :<

Though there's already a thread about this, I'll say that I read on another Site that it could very well just be because the online portion will require Nintendo Online. It may not have anything to do with DLC.

im hoping we get a direct soon that clears all this up, that way everyone gets peace of mind :)

It seems that the NOA with the official site has removed in game purchases from the ESRB rating and now replaced it with comic mischief and users interact

from site it says

Nintendo kinda needs to clarify things so we know where we stand.

If it's DLC down the line that's not expensive or ongoing, that would be tolerable, even though I'm old school and believe when you buy a game, that's it.

But if it's the worst case scenario, and it turns out to be everpresent microtransactions, then that would be a sad end.

To clarify, this isn't me panicking.
I'm just an AC player and customer who wants to know what he's buying.

i avoid mobile games cuz of its micro transactions. i hope they dont have anything of the sort.... in a fully paid 60 dollar game...

if it's a dlc expansion pack I feel it won't be until 2021 cause Splatoon 2 came 2017 and Octo Expansion came 2018 so New Horizons comes 2020 and some expansion comes 2021
