Rosie or Merry. Who should i keep?

So i have both Rosie and Merry on my island. I like both equally well (Rosies been on my island far longer tho).
I do feel like i only want 1 peppy villager on my island tho. So down the road i feel like i should replace one of them.

Feel free to give me any personal input on the matter. I really dont know what to decide :/.

Personally, I prefer Rosie. But if you feel like you like them both equally, I would recommend flipping a coin. If you're satisfied with the result, then the problem is solved. But if you find yourself wishing the coin had landed on the other side, then you know what your preference is, and you can go with that.

It's rare that one of these threads on the "Who should I keep?" subject feels like a direct tie between the villagers. Both Rosie and Merry are adorable, and I've had each multiple times throughout many AC playthroughs. I would slightly lean towards Rosie purely as I think she's the most iconic Peppy in the series. Merry is beyond cute though, and her dreamy sweatshirt is fantastic on her. Honestly.. it really might be a coin flip decision you may have to do lol

Im looking at different factors. I think i like Merrys color scheme better. It feels way more natural than Rosies purpleish skin tone. I also think her house exterior is better (Merry has prolly one of the best house exteriors in game). I do like Rosies facial expressions better tho. Merry has this tendency to smile, even when shes angry and sad. It feels kinda....... weird to me? Rosies face is more expressive. She also has an amazing house interior (Merrys interior is still good tho).

It feels like flipping a coin. Suuuuuper hard decision.

i think i like Merry more, i've never had either of them as far as i remember but Merry's face with the fangs is really cute :3

I would pick Rosie since I like her a little better. If you like them both equally you should as others have said flip a coin. If you are disappointed by the result then you know who to keep.

Both are extremely cute! You could also temporarily replace one with another villager personality and later bring her back once you unlocked all the reactions from that villager personality. (only if you're after the reactions though) If you would like to get rid of one because of repetitive dialogue or simply more variety I would chose Rosie since you've had her for longer so you have more memories attached. But don't feel pressured to get rid of her if you prefer Merry.

I prefer Rosie because I like her house interior better and I think she’s a lot cuter than Merry. Merry’s face looks weird because of her eyes. To me it looks like she is always looking up.

Well both of them are Peppy villagers so they would speak and talk the same. I say keep Rosie and let Merry move out. Rosie is a lot more better looking than Merry in my opinion.

I love Merry in NH, she's got those cute little fangs and the double chin 10/10
Rosie is kind of bland to me, I don't like that she doesn't have a nose.

Oh that's such a difficult choice! I've been in a dilemma about those two since the beginning! Merry is so cute and has such a lovely house and personality!

However I like rosie more personally because she reminds me a lot of my best friend! I'm very much an introvert but I always tended to like extraverted people and rosie embodies that perfectly

I prefer Merry because villagers lacking noses as part of cutesy design is more of a pet peeve for me than a positive, and while I do enjoy and have some favorites that are designed that way like Ankha and Tiffany, I'd prefer most of them to have visible noses. I'd say that Rosie's house has a better interior design than Merry's, but Merry's also isn't bad. So, yeah, I'd keep Merry.

It just depends on what matters to you the most. I prefer rosie’s house exterior and to me that is more important than the actual villager most of the time, so personally I would’ve chosen Rosie. Otherwise if house exterior is not a factor, then I’d probably go with Merry since she’s a bit more niche and has neutral color pallette. That said, you also would need to evaluate how the villager will fit in with the rest of the villagers and your overall island aesthetics. Along that, how attached you are to Rosie, since you mentioned she lived on your island much longer.

if i'm going off of villager alone, i would definitely go with merry. her double chin is adorable and i love her silly little bangs. big cutie and great color palette. less into the blue cat vibe and i don't like her eyes as much.

like other folks i dislike merry's exterior a lot so if that is something you're considering, i'd consider rosie more.

I've had them both and liked them although Felicity is my favorite peppy cat. I like Merry's house exterior better and Rosie's house interior better. Which house exterior fits your island better. Or, if you don't have one of their photos, you could keep that one.

Personally i like each villager to be a different color so id get rid of whichever color i already have

I'd go with Merry. She's more underrated than Rosie, so have to root for the underdog. The cute little fangs are a bonus. Plus, she's very similar to Felicity who is my preferred peppy cat.
