How long did it take you to get your perfect town layout? I'm resetting at the moment.. I must have been doing it on and off for at least six hours last night, and about another four today.. It's driving me crazy! I know what river shape i want, it's just a matter of getting that river shape, with the town hall behind the plaza, and nothing else placed badly. I feel like I'm being too fussy but i reset a town that i really liked..

Feel free to post pictures of your town maps so i can see nice towns and not completely give up hope, haha :)

.
I reset for nearly a week before finding a map
that I wanted. But, then I got to thinking about
my Activity Log and how messed up it was, so I
formatted my 3DS and took one of the original
4 maps that Rover gave me. I have to say, I'm
very happy that I've done that. I think it's better
to roll with the punches, take what Animal
Crossing gives you, and put a smile on your face.

But, that being said, I used to reset a lot too. My
town map ( which I named Almond ) is here:

Still resetting. Have been since august 2013 >.< I can't help it, I found my absolute dream map, WITH my dream villagers but the eyes I had were horrible, so i reset. still regreting to this day :p

I won't lie it took me awhile. I just restarted my second town. Thursday I had to work an all day event and got home at 11pm...from then till 2:30am I think I was resetting. I found a very cute layout right off the bat but it had oranges (hate oranges and cherries for town fruit, no offense to anyone lol) so I had to go on. I also really wanted a layout with my retail by my station and the event plaza directly under the town hall. At 2:30am I finally found an awesome layout and a town fruit that's apples (my favorite). Finally I went to bed and I was a bit worried that I rushed choosing out of wanting to sleep...but I really like it and already have tons of ideas for different sections so I'm content.

My main town I didn't even think to keep resetting till I found a good one. I just chose the best out of the options because I was excited to play. I've done so much with it that I don't think I'll ever reset it...I'm too used to it now.

I just picked the first layout I ever got because I was so excited :p But I got peaches as my fruit which I liked, I'm very fond of a few of my villagers, and anything I dislike about the layout I just deal with haha.

I think I reset once at the very start because i did the wrong combo to get the face I wanted. Other then that I haven't reset at all and love my town, even though a lot of people on here seem to hate my map. XD

Since I was a newbie and knew nothing of the game, I took the very first map that was offered to me. I'm LUCKY AS HELL that I got a good map out of sheer dumb luck, and I have good villagers too! xD

And despite that I chose a random map, I've never reset, and I'll only reset when I've done literally EVERYTHING xD

I played my town for a few months but got really frustrated with it, so I reset but then accidentally chose the wrong map I wanted, yet I stuck with it for a while. I recently reset my game again (like a week or two ago) and I'm loving my town.

When i first started. I didn't reset. I picked the first map, on the list. I would consider myself lucky.

Town Hall in the middle of map, Circle grass, and peaches. Winding river but I kind of like it helps me space out pwps. :)

It took me a few hours for Azalea..

Took 5 days for Parfait, i rejected towns with good layouts, as i hated the villagers -.- and rejected a town with Ankha/Stitches/Bam in, due to the layout :(
In the end i got a fabby layout, and Tia, Tangy & Stitches as starters, so all turned out well

I liked my map, but i just started a cycling town and now that may become my map its wayyy better than my main town.

I just took the first town I was offered because I just wanted to get into the game. I didn't really care about the layout because I find it kind of fun to take a perhaps less than ideal layout and figure out how to make it the best it can be. I also don't worry about starters too much because I never know what villager I'll get that I never thought I would like but I'll grow to love.

Also, getting the villagers I want is a big chunk of the game for me, and I don't think its very fun if I start off with a large chunk of it completed for me already.

I not so picky with my map~ as long as I got a straight river and peaches I go with it^^ just took me an hour to do that~

Initially I just picked one of the first four maps, but I reset a little while ago because I didn't like it. It only took me one reset to find a map I liked. I probably would have reset more to get something other than oranges but I didn't have much time and I loved pretty much everything else (except the villagers, but I can replace those).

I did a reset only once and chose from the 4 that was given. I chose a good map. One of the reasons I chose it was because the town hall was right next to the train stations, and retail and the plaza are next to each other or the bottom of the town. I didn't want an entirely empty piece of land, separated by the river. I got good villagers, some I want to move, but a 9th villager won't move in since Penelope left. It been days (it feels like a week).

I resetted many times, and I also have had a few towns before. I think it took a couple of days to find the town map I really wanted. For example, I wanted the layout which looks like an "U", the river pond in a certain area and the plaza had to be in the centre.

I just took the first map offered, I just wanted to play the game regardless of how crap it was XD

Several days because I absolutely wanted a spot for my house where no villagers would be able to place their houses as well. I finally found it, but it took a while. I'm very happy with it, though. It's perfect. :) Luckily that was the only thing I wanted; I didn't care about fruit, villagers and ponds. :)
