wow...I got the 10% chance earlier this week on Monday... but It was the good one, I had the real moving painting, sinking painting and dynamic painting and the fake I had was the informative Stone (which was blue) My luck was insane... maybe it was Greta parting gift to my town.
The big thing for me at least was he basically confirmed that islands have "native" color variants for regular furniture items. That's...not exactly reassuring if you're a collector and don't actively go and trade with others. Looks like Redd might be one of the few ways to get other color variants not native to your town. Balloons might possibly drop them as well.

feel this so hard, yeah. which seems such a frustrating choice by the game, i'll be honest. so many factors keep adding up that are native elements, it really puts a sour taste on my tongue on behalf of casual players who cant do online trading, esp w the limited amt of actual furniture items in this game already.
i do also wonder if there is a tendancy for some art to be more common, across islands and as a native tendency. ie. the jolly painting is everywhere i look, and i tend to get the glowing painting every time - but i have definitely already donated it. do appreciate that 20% bump for undonated items tho, that's nice. potentially useful for farming specific art ??
overall, not a totally terrible spread. 10% chance of all fake is pretty kind considering the rate at which redd appears. what is not kind is the one art a day limit lmfaoooo

I don't think "being a collector" and "not actively trading" have been compatible with each other since Wild World. Getting every painting alone has always been a monumental task, especially before the identification mechanic existed, and that's not even getting into villager photos, regional exclusives, DLC items, various rare items you couldn't find in the shop...
