6/10. I respectfully disagree, I feel like most video game songs I listen to (which is a lot since I pretty much exclusively listen to vgm lol) can sound fine on their own and without any gameplay. This is evident by the fact that most of the songs I’ve posted in this thread were ones I’d previously heard before playing the games they were from and thought they were good, and people in this thread haven’t played any of them and they give them good ratings. Plus, some bad games have really good osts, meaning a vgm can sound good even if you don’t have fun gameplay to tie it to. But that’s just my opinion,

5/10 though, I don’t think I would willingly listen to this, whereas I would willingly listen to the songs I’ve rated higher.

10/10 I love Billy Joel so much like he’s actually one of my favorite musicians. So sad that he cancelled his tour, I was trying to get my mom to go with me. I really hope his health improves especially with that brain diagnosis
My two favorites of his songs are Movin’ Out and Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, and I love the music video for Uptown Girl
