I used to hate rap too until my boyfriend kept rapping Eminem songs. I actually started to listen to rap more and more and now i love it. Sure, some songs are absolutely pointless and stupid, but doesn't that go along with all genres? Just because people aren't singing doesn't mean it's stupid. Some rap actually does tell a story and have meaning to it.

By some do you mean 95% of it? I only Eminem.

i hate rap,and what disturbs me even more is when my brother comes home from high school he blasts the stereo to full volume and bass,and he plays the most annoying rap songs ever,it drives me NUTS!plus,i'm more of a rock and heavy metal fan.

Sure, I have some rappers I hate, but I have a lot I like (KiD CuDi, Ice Cube, Eminem, 50 Cent, T.I. and Kanye West just to name a few). That doesn't mean the whole genre sucks.

I pretty much listen to all genres, though.
