Okay the funny thing is how discriminative it is. You know how this site has a large LGBT+ community? A big support thread? Yeah the site is so medieval that they won't allow gay relationships in fanfics. Mentioning you're part of LGBT is against the rules. Their argument? Kids shouldn't be exposed to it. Community? More like dictatorship.

TBT = USA; ACC = WWII Russia

There was another site that was just as strict as ACC. Back when I was on LBPC, someone complained about Roblox, and how strict the site is. I guess ACC is another Roblox.

Website sucks. It's full of old people that are legit boring or people that are too young to understand or even wifi. There's no inbetween.

Lol. I haven't been active there in soooo long. Can't say I ever hated it, but the forum is very stuck in the 2000's. It looks exactly like it did when I first joined there 11 years ago.

I was quite active in the beginning, and had a lot of friends. I joined right around the height of my Animal Crossing interest, so it just kind of came naturally. However, as time went on I got disconnected from the community... I found other interests, and when I came back the community just wasn't the same. It's such a large community, and it's geared toward younger members. I'm 'old' now... There are many members there now that were born after I joined, I'm sure. xD (OMG that's insane).

I do remember this, though. I joined the forum 11 years ago, and that was when I was first discovering what I was and that maybe I wasn't just crazy and wrong, and one time I brought it up and they were like "Don't talk about that here". >.>

I can screech it from the heavens on this site, but the fact I got perma'd for it shows how pathetic they are.

I'd be surprised if you didn't get banned for saying it. I swear I got 4 infractions for mentioning it. You can say you're cis and hetero on the site but if you say you're trans and/or gay/bi... then good luck

Pretty much. The mods are always right regardless of how wrong they are.

The normal members are pretty open about it and I've met two great friends on that site but besides that the site's toxic.

That's why I only posted my small opinion and didn't elaborate. I'm guessing this a tired subject on this forum? I've only seen one other thread about this, but I don't exactly check often.

I'm guessing I'm not joining ACC anytime in the future. They're so strict, and so hypocritical. I bet they'll even ban users that complain about their strictness on any site, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, 4chan, and this site if they haven't got banned yet.

I didn't. I don't think I even got punished for it beyond being told not to discuss it, but it was 10/11 years ago, the site might have changed.

I HATE that attitude, though. It is terrible. LGBT people are children at one point, too. And sometimes we know, or have hints at early ages, but can't even begin to decipher them because we live in a society which deems such matters "inappropriate" for children. It's disgusting.

In this matter, I do firmly believe that the deeming of it as "inappropriate" is not to 'protect' the children. It is to maintain a society which keeps ignorance (which leads to hatred, of course) toward LGBT issues and people at as high of a level as possible. It probably also is to keep us confused as long as possible, because you know... Being LGBT is something that's done on a whim, and if we're left confused and unaccepted, we'll simply go back to being normal. >.> (Yeah, right... Absolutely ridiculous, I know... But people DO believe that, and at the very least they are holding LGBT children back from realizing what they might be, thus 'minimizing' the LGBT community).

Oops, sorry for that long rant... It's just something that drives me insane, and I don't see any hint of it changing. Meanwhile the mainstream society will think that LGBT people will have 'won' when same-sex marriage is legalized, yet nothing else has changed. I guarantee it.

I mean, I don't like ACC that much myself, but who cares honestly?? I see people go on about it all the time.
Yes, we know you got banned.
Yes, we know you think that the site is bad.

I had a hard time typing this because I have the feeling people are going to bash on me.

I was on ACC waaayyyy before I ever even heard of TBT, and then after a while, I thought that ACC was getting boring and it seemed dead. I never thought I'd be saying this for some reason, but TBT is so, so, so much better. I still use ACC on a daily basis, but I use TBT more.

I joined that site before I joined Bell Tree.. it's so.... dead... like there's barely any people on ever, it looks bad, it's hard to navigate and people seem so.. fakey on there.. not sure how to describe that, just seems like everyone has no personality when they're on there.
