Random villager moved in as my 10th?

I thought that the 10th villager always had to be invited...

Meanwhile I wake up this morning and Simon has his plot right next to re-tail and he crushed my peach trees. This is so frustrating because I do not want him whatsoever (he's cute but I already have 2 lazy male villagers).

I just don't know what happened! I never invited him, and he was never in my campsite.

And I'm pretty sure since he's my newest villager I can't cycle him out till another one moves out, right?

did someone visit your town recently? if they voided him and then your town was the next they visited he can sneak on in... happened to me before a few times and its super annoying

I have gotten the tenth villager from players' voids repeatedly. I have never ever had a tenth villager ping me to move but players on this forum have stated that it has happened to them... So I think it must be very rare and I wouldn't count on it if I were you.

He could of moved into your town from someone who has voided him and either street passed you or visited your town and I'm not so sure if you have to get someone else to move out before he can

Yup! He just told me which town he was from.... so irritating I already had one villager I had to cycle out now i have 2 :c sigh

on the bright side, it'll be easier to cycle out them if you have two targets to move!

I've heard that it is possible to have 10th villager move out but extremely rare case... So probably easier to let someone out then try to cycle Simon out. I learned it the hard way in my old town too. Was saving the 10th spot for someone and got random void via streetpass.. He (Frobert) destroyed my only carnations that I just bought too.

Next time, if you have an open spot (less than 10 villagers), turn off the Streetpass feature and try not to trade / visit/ invite other players (unless they have had a full town with ten villagers for a while).. You can ask them if their void is clear or have them clear their void by visiting other towns with 10 villagers before trading with you. It doesn't hurt to be cautious xD.. When I had 9 dreamies already I was at like a lock down mode while I was hunting for my 10th dreamie. I didn't wanna risk getting a void villager so I turned off the streetpass & didn't trade online.. Would have been awful to have 9 dreamies all plot resetted and get 10th random void in a horrible spot and it's nearly impossible to cycle the 10th out xP

I had Jay move in and I time travelled a little forward and Jay was the first villager wanting to move out. So it is possible. Good luck!

Sometimes the game will also randomly add visitors. I know this because I had one game that I rarely, if at all, went online with.

Omg you don't know how much this frustrates me xD I HATE it when a voided villager moves in randomly. Like everyone who voids villagers look at this message --> Just think, if you don't find a home for this poor un-loved villager they are gonna end up in a place where they aren't loved and you are the cause of destroying whatever the house plot crushed. You can also pick up villagers like that from streetpass. Same concept, they come in from the void. I got Bruce that way once.

The problem I have with voided villagers is that they are just plain awful like Elise the monkey and they take up the spot you were saving for a desired villager

Exactly! I am STILL trying to cycle Simon out...... sigh
