Random thoughts thread. (New Horizons)

I think I am just gonna to buy the models for the coelacanth and golden stag on here.

These are incredibly rare creatures, so I don’t want to push my luck with them. The golden stag won’t be out until July anyway. I rather just sell everything after donating them to the museum.

Besides, I do want to get all of the host and visitor and achievements eventually, so I’m just gonna take advantage of that by getting some help with the models and other things.
I haven't gotten enough for those, but I feel the same way with the cicadas shell. I'm lucky I even found one. I had to finally go on a Nook island and destroy the entire island minus for a few trees on the mainland. And even 'terraforming' it that way so that I guaranteed nothing else but cicadas would spawn on the trees it still took like almost 2 hours to find one.

Maybe others have better luck with rng for the shells, but I've only seen one whole shell since my time of playing in 2020 lol. And I had to actively destroy an island for that to happen.

I had stitches showed up last night in my island.... I was super excited because he was a favorite of mine years ago
I love Stitches!

And today one of my visitors was Deli, another of my favorite Lazy villagers. I declare, this game makes them cuter than any of them ever had a right to be. He was a hotel visitor and I just wanted to adopt him into my island right there.

Something I noticed or at least since the update. Villagers no longer walk to the plaza when K.K. Slider is there unless they are going to sit in the chairs there.

Before the update, Villagers would often walk onto the plaza carrying either brown paper bags or a handbag with them when they walk up to it while he is there. They still do this, but not when K.K. is there now.

I managed to catch three coelacanths this morning, since it was raining, so now I just have to wait for CJ to come back. ^_^

I just got him a few days ago, though, so it could be a while. >_<

(DW, I already donated a coelacanth a few days ago)

The next Animal Crossing game, while retaining advanced graphics like New Horizons’, should go back to New Leaf’s seasonal colors. In particular:
  • September 8th is when the dark green grass and trees starts to turn a bit yellow (the green side of lime).
  • September 16th is when the grass and trees are lime-colored (the yellow side of lime).
  • October 17th is when the grass and trees all become yellow.
  • November 2nd is when the grass and trees all become light orange.
  • November 10th is when the grass and trees become orange.
  • November 18th is when the grass and trees become red.
  • November 26th is when the grass and trees become brown.
I’m sorry to say, but I do not like New Horizons’ seasonal color scheme.
