Quilson Moving in, WHAT DO I DO??

I'm sorry to hear that :( I disabled streetpass because I kept getting random move ins from my other town and from the void and I couldn't plot reset in time :(

Introduce then ignore then keep talking to your villagers and see if they mention he is thinking of leaving..if he is then talk to him once to get back on speaking terms then wait until he pings but make sure the villagers say he specifically is leaving. This has worked great for me in the past. If he was a void and you have 10 villagers now, keep in mind it will take him a very long time to leave as it takes a while to get the 10th to leave.

Thank goodness, he's the 9th! I feel better already, thank you!

Lol he's actually based on Brian Wilson from the beach boys if that helps XD I hate when this happens, but if you've loaded up as mayor and he's plotted, he's stuck there. There's ways you can cycle him out safely without jeopardizing your other villagers, that would be your best bet if you want him to move.

For now, I'll just deal with him.. If any of these methods work, I'll be just fine in a week or two, hopefully!

no problem i'm happy to hear that..most people when they get a 10th villager from a void then unfortunately they have to move someone else out :( good luck getting him out. whenever i have less than 10 i put my town on "lockdown" so no one comes in/out so i don't risk a void

you could also try the swimming method to try to get him to ping you after he moves in.

Wow good that he is your 9th. Try this too, it helped me immensely in getting Mott out from a full town:

Sounds like you still have the 10th spot open, which is extremely risky because any random move-in from others' void/streetpass can take up that open space. It'd be rather difficult to get them out.
Unless you don't mind this Quillson situation repeating itself, that is.

Have you consider putting your town in 'lockdown mode',
meaning no one comes in, no one goes out, no wi fi trading, streetpass off;
Then at the same time you actually adopt a desired villager to move into your town to fill up those openings?
that way you can resume trading without having to worry about unwanted move-ins.

But yeah, talked to them a bit when they first moved in, then completely ignore them afterwards is an effective way.
I used that on the horrible monkey thing Tammi.
Also, remember to adopt that unwanted villager out to someone else (if possible)
otherwise they will haunt your main street forever (like what Rocket & Tammi are doing on my main street now....)

Good luck! C:

I hated Quilson. HATED. I thought he would never leave. I generally like the smug characters but something about him made me want to throttle him. If I had to see him do the 'shoom' dance one more time...

I remember thinking that Quillson was weird and ugly when I first saw him(actually,he still kinda is..)but he's been a model citizen since he's been in my town.Perhaps try to get some smug PWPs out of him before you boot him out.

Did you load the town with the Mayor? If you did, then I regret to tell you he is there to stay >.<

I suggest introducing yourself to him and then completely ignore him at all costs. He will ask to move sooner than later. Good Luck!

if you have already loaded up with your mayor, then I'm sorry there's nothing you can do except try different methods to get him to move faster, i suggest introducing yourself the first day and then never speaking to him.

As others have said, you can just talk to him once and never speak to him again to speed up the moving process. If this doesn't work, you could try melting the game card in acid. Good luck :)

Just ignore him, but if that doesn't work, burning the 3DS could help as well. Hope this helps! :lemon:

XD Yes, I will definately try that one!

Acid... a full-proof method if I ever heard one

Now that paranoia has consumed me and I've moved almost all my flowers to the beach,
how long after a villager moves out until another villager moves in?

He also said that he moved to my place from another mayor's town, does that affect the moving process?

It takes about 1-7 days for a new villager to move in after one moves out.
Unless you have 9 villagers, the tenth doesn't move in randomly, only through adopting one from a different town or the campsite.

I see.. thank you! I'll have to keep an eye out from now on so this mess doesn't happen again = ~ =)

I'd like him please once you get him to move out! :)

Uhm, I'm not sure how to do that...

Just let me know once he's in boxes then I can come and speak to him and he should then move into my town instead of going to the void :)
