Me and my boyfriend are planning on getting a Wii U for ourselves and we just thought that you guys could help us learn more about it!

When we were in Game there was a few deals going on and one of them was for a Wii U Premium? What's that? Is there huge different between Wii U Premium and just a normal Wii U?

We're definitely buying Mario Kart 8 too. Any other game suggestions for it? c:

Basically:
Basic Wii U: White, 8 GB storage (more info)
Premium Wii U: Black, 32 GB storage (more info)

Personally I'd suggest Super Mario 3D World, I'm not sure about other games because I've only had mine for a while. Looking forward to both Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2 though.

I believe the premium Wii U comes with Nintendo Land, so that's already a game included but at a cheaper price (in other words, you'd pay less with the bundle rather than buying the regular Wii U and game).

The 8GB Wii U is very tough to find on retailers nowadays, because of its poor sales. If you don't mind finding a used one, eBay and Amazon may be your last resort. Keep in mind that the model isn't ideal for downloading games because you're left with 3GB to work with, which you'll be essentially better off with physical games until you purchase a Wii U compatible hard drive (either with Y-shaped USB cable or AC adapter thrown in). For an average gamer, a 500GB USB hard drive would be enough, in which you could store up to 20 25GB retail games.

ohhhhh, we've just had a discussion and we're going to get a premium one! Probably a pre owned one though!
Another question: Will we be able to have separate accounts or will we have to share? (meaning; will he have to play with my Mii? hehehe)

Wii U can have separate accounts for playing the same physical games on the same console, albeit with a different save data depending on the games. For downloaded games, they can be played on the same console as long the account who've purchased them is still present in the console.

I recommend purchasing Steam World dig for wii u as it boring interesting

don't buy it yet. i recommend waiting december because good games will come out around there.

Like? Judging from the European release dates the only great game releases will be Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and possibly Sonic Boom? The rest of the games slated for 2014 have no concrete release dates yet, though I do see Oddworld and Shovel Knight are slated for a 2014 release.

The rest of the games to really get hyped for aren't out in Europe until 2015.

You might as well get the 32 GB one.
I have both the 8 GB and 32 GB since the Wii U's launch, and the 8 GB one runs out of space really really quickly.
You're better off with the 32 GB, but just wait until Black Friday comes.

yeah i was talking about the games in december and 2015

We're gonna get it now, a pre owned one, I think it would be better to get one now rather than near Christmas as I could imagine the prices going up.

Thank you for all your help, guys! I'm soooooo excited to get one and will probably never be off it for months on end. My grades will be nonexistent lmfao.

There's more than enough games to justify getting a WiiU now and if you buy it now you have games to play currently and games to look forward to. MK8, Mario 3D World, Wii Party U, NintendoLand and Pikmin 3 are all awesome for multiplayer and have kept me and my friends entertained for hours. One I will say that was a HUGE surprise was Wii Party U, it had me and my friends dying of laughter so hard. If you buy the physical copy of Wii Party U, you can probably still get it with the Wii Remote bundled, same with NintendoLand I see the Luigi Wii remote bundle floating around still. But both are cheap used. Most of what I said related to multiplayer fun though, there's even more single player fun to be had.

I would strongly recommend getting The Wind Waker HD. It is the prettiest game I've ever seen.
