Question about transfering SD data to another SD Card?

I'm running out of space for my 3DS so I was going to buy a new SD card while it's cheap but I have downloaded games and stuff.

My question is: If I transfer my data to a new SD card will it keep my downloaded games and all the game data for my games?
Another dumb question is: How do you transfer data?

Just move all in one go from SD to a folder on computer desktop. Insert new card and copy all to that and insert in the same console. Works fine ive done it before

if its the same console you can . Games are attached to the console so as long as you play the games from the SD on the same console its fine. I back up my sd card regularly; photos and streetpass info. Just open the sd in My Computer and hit CTRL-A and then CTRL-C and paste it into your desktop or other folder.
[You cannot copy over to another console's SD card and use the stuff in another console as games will not transfer over].
