Question about starter villagers

I hear some people saying that they'll never leave, but I was able to get one of the two out. Has anyone been able to get both of their starter villagers out of their island?

i've gotten 1 out with an amiibo, i'm sure they do leave at some point like other villagers though

Hazel moved out naturally. I have yet for Kevin to ask about leaving though!

i had one move out and the other one has asked several times as well, so i'd think it's possible!

they do ask to move naturally! both renée (multiple times) and kevin have asked me, and i eventually let go of both of them.
i'm unsure - so take it with a grain of salt - but initially (around last year when we got to see demo-gameplay), people were stating that the first two villagers will be harder to move out than the rest, as they have a "special" attachment to the player but that seems to be a hoax anyway.
