Question about landscaping

I?m decorating my town and I?m going for a woodsy forest theme. I plan on having bamboo, bushes, trees, stumps, and weeds all over the place. If I chop down a tree or bamboo shoot before it?s fully grown will it disappear the next day? Are we able to have half grown tree stumps and chopped bamboo shoots? I believe I?ve seen it in towns before, but they were usually hacked

Trees/bamboo stumps will not disappear after being cut. At whatever state you chop them they will stay that way until you remove them yourself.

Yes, this is true. I lined some of my paths with bamboo and chopped it down on the second day because I liked the combination of brown and green it had on that day. It has been that way for over a year and I don't hack.

Stumps will stay, but keep in mind weeds will destroy perfect town rating. So if you want to get perfect town rewards or harvest Jacob's Ladders do that before you let a lot of weeds grow.
