Question about giving villagers to other people

So I?m going to be scanning in amiibo cards soon and will be replacing some of my villagers, and will want to give them away. But my question is if the villager has since changed their clothes, furniture, etc. and someone adopts them while they?re in boxes, will they revert back to their original items when they move to that new town?

No,they'll move to their new town as is.

Nope, how they are in your town is how they'll be when they move. That's why you'll see, on the Villager Trading Post, people advertising villagers as being original (the same clothes/furniture/catchphrase as they started with) vs. warning that they are unoriginal.
