Question about changing a villager's house location

Is it possible to move a villager's house just one space straight back? When I was originally trying to move this villager's house I was trying to bring it forward a bit so it was in line with the 2 houses next to it, but now it's one space too far forward and it's bugging the hell of me!! I just wanted to know if this is possible before I hand over 50,000 bells to Tom Nook to move it again.

You'll have to move it twice. Once completely out of the area, then another time back where you want it.
Unfortunately you can't move it just a few spaces away as the game doesn't register that the building blocking the way from the one you want to put down is, in fact, the same exact building... So it doesn't allow you, saying it's too close to another building.

I don’t think it’s possible cause the current house will be in the way, you would have to move it to a whole new location and then move it back. But even if you forked over the bells you can get your bells back by talking to tom nook again and saying you changed your mind.
