So basically, what you're saying is, that the older computers have not gotten any more complex. Nothing has progressed.

Older Computers were simpler because there wasn't much to them. Mac or Windows. Unless you can from an alternate past where everyone owned million dollar super computers.
You're implying Windows have gotten so complex to the point where they're unusable. Which is not true. If that's not what you meant, then word your answers a little better next time.
You're blowing what I said out of proportion.

What I said was: "They're simpler and more user-friendly. Even the windows computer were like this at one point."

Which means that all computers were in a simplistic form at one point. Now they've gotten more build to them, more capabilities, etc.

I have never even used a Linux. They're not generally as widespread or popularized as windows/macs. I was talking mainly about the two main rivals.

bolded why linux is relevant to this topic.

linux is PC, too.

Random?

@Psycho: I know. but I don't know what the main difference is. I'd rather not talk about something of which I have no idea about. I've never used nor even seen a Linux (in front of my face off-screen).

ATTACK MY WEAK POINT FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE

@ bacon boy, not random

set yourself up for a "burn" about talking about what you don't know about, but I'll leave that alone for the time being.

linux has been around since the mid-80s, and there is quite a large amount of different OS' that are made from the Linux kernel, and thus Linux. flavors, i think is the term. linux was the geeks' computer, and still is. oh god the networking.

I really don't understand how what BlueDaisy said pertains to our conversation about the history of a Linux.

what? That didn't sound right when I read it...

let me elaborate:

Psychonaut: LINUX AND WINDOWS ARE BOTH PC
Blue Daisy: Linux, Windows, and Mac* are all PC's, because they're all personal computers. :3
Psychonaut: FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

@ bolded quote

Bacon Boy: "Mac vs Windows rant"
Psychonaut: "Windows vs Mac rant" "brings up Linux"
Bacon Boy: "I don't like to talk about things I don't know"
Next poster (burner): "why you talkin bout windows vs mac, then? :3"

It sounds like you're just turning into beehdaubs with baseless insults. How the hell do you know I don't know a lot about windows. I don't know as much as someone who has had one for a while, but for the three years I had one, I hated it. The only reason you don't think my arguments have any merit is because you refuse to acknowledge that maybe I could have made at least one valid point.

You never said Linux and Windows are both PCs. Blue Daisy just brought that up because you were talking about Windows and Macs.

GUYS, GUYS

BOTH MACS AND WINDOWS HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER, AND ARE PREFERRED BY DIFFERENT PEOPLE BASED ON THEIR COMPUTING NEEDS.

Thank you, goodnight. >8]

would help to read some posts, bro. blue daisy was totally on-topic/relevant.

I said someone COULD have said that. then you asked what I meant, so I explained it to you. beehdaubs makes much more sense than you do, btw.

the reason I think know your argument doesn't have any merit is because you don't know how to properly arrange and discuss your thoughts. lern2/debate class.

baconboy i *censored.3.0*ing applaud you

you see, over the past month i've been kind of thinking, "hey, maybe i should be a nicer person to everyone i meet instead of being passive aggressive and hyper critical over small details. we're all human and we all make mistakes, right?"

and then i read posts like this and i'm just baffled at how uninformed you are.

but hey being uninformed is okay, we all had to start somewhere, right?

but it just continues

and continues

and i'm wondering whether or not you're putting effort into being this *censored.3.0*ing dumb because so far i've just been completely and utterly amazed at some of the *censored.2.0* you say.

which brings me back to what i was originally saying: i realize, thanks to you, that most people aren't in the slightest worth it.

but i'm going to be a very good person right now and give you a nice handy guide:

1. microsoft != windows. learn the difference, it could save your life!

2. "mac" isn't the operating system. you can't "run a mac on a windows", as i recall you saying in a previous thread. (me and a buddy had a great laugh over that, though. thanks.)

3. any system that isn't manufactured/sold by apple and is not running any of the various apple operating systems isn't automatically "a windows". it's a PC or a laptop. any system that is running linux isn't "a linux", either (you haven't *censored.3.0*ed that up (miraculously), but i'm giving you some preemptive advice here, buddy!)

i can't really think of anything else, but i'm sure there's just a lot more to correct in your long line of mistakes. but that's all i really care to point out!

now take care and learn, son. learn like your life depended on it because it does.

Actually older computer are usually harder to use since you usually have to type in command codes for a lot of things.
That's dos.

Kaleb - And glad to see you've converted over from the dark side.

I never was on the "dark side", whatever that is. Maybe I sounded that way in some posts? Besides the point, I wasn't intending to direct anything against you in this thread, just if you were wondering. Ruining all the fun, this was a joke. I don't have my 1984 Mac...even as badly as I wanted to.

And unless "liking PC" is the dark (or black) side, then I'm gray. I could care less. It's opinionated.

So how "I wouldn't expect a Mac user to know anything about building legos." and some of his other senseless comments have merit and it makes much more sense than me explaining what a Mac and a Windows can do.
