Prehistoric Villager species?

Since we have the Dodo brothers, who are of an extinct species (unless you count anthro-dodos as a separate species), how cool would it be to see villagers or special NPCs of a prehistoric species, like a T-Rex, a mammoth, or even a neanderthal (and yes, I consider neanderthals to be a separate species from humans, unlike cavemen)?

That’s why he’s one of my favorite elephant villagers.

sadly we don’t really have any other prehistoric villagers. Maybe they’ll come up eventually!

Would love to see more created in the future though. They can do a T-rex using the Alligator model.

Scientifically speaking, Neanderthals are different from humans, but it wouldn’t be possible to replicate them in game without them looking like the actual human model.

They could easily make something with the bird species, and I was thinking they could add a triceratops wolf.

I think if they implemented lizard villagers, it is entirely possible that there will be designs inspired by dinosaurs.

As unrealistic as it probably is, I'd love some lazy T-rex villager. They'd have the education hobby so they enjoy spending time in the Museum.

Maybe make an eagle villager with its beak and head changed to look like a quetzalcoatlus. I'm both fascinated and somewhat terrified by those creatures.

while i’m not super educated on this topic, i think prehistoric characters would be neat to see! after a bit of research, i’ve come across a few that i think could easily work with the already existing villager models;

Coelodonta

this bad boy is otherwise known as a “wooly rhino” and with its design, i think it could easily be incorporated in as a new rhino villager!

Entelodon

this one actually allows for a few different routes to be taken in terms of species; originally thought to of been a breed of pig, it’s entirely possible that it shares relations with hippos, too, and so i think it could go either way. personally, i think it looks a bit more like a pig/hog and i think it’s design would fit in with the other pigs pretty well! i can see this one being a cranky villager lol

Phorusrhacos Longissimus

these birds were apparently vicious as hell, something that led to their nickname being “birds of terror” lmao. with its height, i think this one could easily fit into the ostrich model and with how uh,, terrifying they apparently were, they’d definitely be a great new cranky villager aha

Procoptodon

this one’s pretty much just a kangaroo but look at him?? isn’t he adorable??

this is getting to be long as hell lmao but tldr; there’s a bunch of super cool species out there that i’d love to see be added in; personally, i’m rooting hard for the last one + reptile villagers!!

It's head is massive... how the heck did it ever lift it up??

Would be awesome to have as a villager though. Possibly on an ostrich base model with some minor tweaks.

The people we think of as cavemen were neanderthals, actually. They are one in the same.
And you are correct, neanderthals are not homosapiens! We actually lived alongside them for over 3,000 years before they died out and we became the only humanoidal species.

There was another group of Asianic nationality that were not human as well, but without Googling, I can't recall what they were called off the top of my head.

I would give an arm and a leg to have dinosaur villagers. It'd be interesting to see what they think of the fossil part of the museum lol. Every once in a while, I see fanart of dino villagers or npcs, and they always look so cute/awesome.
