So far I haven't experienced the glitch (knock on wood). I had 3 move-ins from other players over the last week or so. They've been fine thus far. I will keep monitoring them over the next few days, especially Marina who I just moved in earlier tonight. T_T

I hope everything is fine and that you get Marina without troubles.

I am curious to know if anyone who has had a glitched villager trigger after a while of them moving in if it’s always the most recent villager that has moved in or if that is not the case. As in Rosie moves in and then Beardo but then Rosie gets the moved away glitch or if it’s always the most recent move in.

No. But I won't vote as the only reason I haven't is because I haven't been adopting, so I don't want to skew the data..

Mine is quite minor, but a villager of mine moved into the wrong exterior house. I’m so glad it wasn’t much worse.

The aesthetics would bother me a lot, but at least it’s not game breaking I suppose. Still, I’m sorry this happened to you. :(

A friend of mine has the one where the villager plot just says "I've moved out", and they contacted Nintendo, and apparently it's because they had someone visit while the villager was in boxes.
Meaning they had just moved to their new town, right?
Anyway, WHEW—i always tt to make sure they’ve completely moved in before i invite anyone over...i think this may have saved me from a glitch

No, but I only have access to the singleplayer aspect. My amiibo move ins have not caused any issues.

I've been online trading for weeks and haven't had any issues so far. I adopted two villagers from people online and had three of my own villagers adopted by others online too. So far none of them have reported any issues to me, and the villagers adopted were a mix of natural move outs and forced out by Amiibo. I've been online since adopting my two villagers, which I know causes some people problems, but so far nothing. I'm not sure why some people get the glitch and some don't, it could be something to do with having villagers in the void or something relating to TT, I'm not sure.

I'm terrified of this.
I adopted Zucker from someone yesterday. Had to TT one day ahead in order to get Rowan out (though I told myself I wouldn't TT).
But Zucker is an ultimate dreamie. He's unpacking today.
I'm praying that he won't be glitched.
I'm not going to TT and will probably pass down on any trades for the time being.

I adopted Marshal on Bunny Day. I don't know if if he's glitched or not because I didn't talked to him again after inviting him to my island. I haven't checked on him today but he's doing okay so far. I do avoid doing online play at the moment since I heard that visiting other island and inviting someone night trigger the glitch.

I haven't so far, got Renee from void, Cgerry, Henry and Deirdre from boxes but Bangle is moving in tomorrow and I sm scared about that

I haven't experienced the glitch yet, but I'm not sure if I really count because I've only received one villager from another person so far and they were leaving naturally, they weren't booted out at all.

The ‘I’ve moved out’ glitch can occur even if the villager left naturally :’)
So it counts! You avoided the glitch ❤️

Do we have a confirmed days when it is safe to go back to online play? I heard visiting islands or inviting people over might triggernthe glitch.

I haven’t experienced the glitch but saying that I’ve been fortunate enough not to pick up and void villagers on my travels.

I have to ask, why is villager trading still so very popular despite the risk of glitching?? People are willingly paying a ton of bells or NMTs when they have a decent chance of wrecking one of their plots and not even getting the villager. IS there a safe method that I am missing??

I've seen people post about it happening amiibo or not, natural move out or not.

Maybe people are impulsive or impatient and don't want to wait with a non-guaranteed chance that Nintendo will successfully patch the glitches.

I did get a random move in from another player from their town when they visited my island. I was a bit worried cause this was after the first patch that tried to solve the problem. I talked to them and they said the villager had the thought bubbles and moved out naturally. I've talked to the villager everyday since (He moved in April 9th) and everything's been fine. In the mean time, I think I'll just keep everyone on my island to avoid random move-ins or if I let someone go, I'll try island hunting, or just going to an island an adopt the first villager I see.

No, but my trade partner experienced a glitched villager.
