Well , I thought I would make this thread as I find these things pretty interesting but..

Many people pronounce Pok?mon names differently.

For example.
Many people pronounce Pancham how it is spelt. However since the Bamboo forest episode aired loads of people pronounce it pan-ch-em [thanks anime ._.]

Anyway, is there any pokemon you pronounce differently? Share below :]

I always pronounced Archen and Archeops like Ar-ken and Ar-keeops.

Wow I've always said "hound-our" for Houndour it doesn't look that hard to me haha But each to their own.

Ar-see-us as opposed to ar-key-us
Phanphy as opposed to phanpy because it sounds better and fits more with its evolution, donphan

Probs more but I can't remember

I always used to pronounce Marill as what it looks like mar-ill, but ever since I heard Tracey call his Marill more like mare-ill in the anime that's how I've been saying it.

My friend gets mad when I say it like that she always says mar-ill haha!

Game freak should just include Pok?dex entries that are read to you in a roboticish voice like in the anime and add in THEIR intended pronunciations so then this whole dispute between pan-cham, pan-chem, ar-kee-us, ar-see-us, etc, can be cleared up lol

Raquaza is pronounced as [Ray-qway (or like spanish que)-zah]
But some others pronounce it as [Ray-qwa-za]

A lot of the name confusion can be cleared up by looking at the Japanese names. For example, Arceus in Japanese is pronounced "ar-say-us", which fits with how "deus" is pronounced.

I could try and make a list of how the names should be pronounced, but I'm kinda lazy. Pokedex 3D Pro kinda pissed me off because of all the mistakes.
