Pokémon Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon

I played blue rescue team, and I loved it! I'm strongly considering getting super mystery dungeon too, is it a lot different from the old games?

I'm not TOO far into the game yet, but I'd say it's pretty similar to the old ones. Some new battle mechanics have been added, such as looplets (think mega evolution bracelets kinda) that you put these gems into to increase battle strength and whatnot, so that's kinda cool.

I'd say it's definitely worth buying, though!

Oh awesome! I'll definitely consider it, but I don't think it's released until February in Europe. :/

Loving this game so far, but why do these games always hit me right in the feels???

And I have a feeling the ending is going to make me cry. (They always do...)

I picked out SMD for my older brother as a Christmas present, since my mom took me Christmas shopping with her... And it ended up to be him not wanting it; which means I have it now... I don't know if he's ever gonna want to play it, since I'm usually the one who likes the Pokemon games, especially the Mystery Dungeon ones xD

OMG...

I kinda expected it, but Nuzleaf being a bad guy??? And everyone except Ampharos, Jirachi and Espurr being turned to stone! I just, I can't even..wow.

Nintendo, you really stepped it up on this one. Good job to everyone involved!

If you're the one who prefers playing pokemon why did you get it for your brother >_>

I'm at endgame now, and...wow. This game is so OMG.

Granted, I have no clue how I'm gonna make it through the final dungeon area since I am all but tapped out on reviver seeds and oran berries...

OMFG...

I just finished the game, though I'm still in the epilogue, and I'm pretty sure I may need some sort of therapy after watching that.

WHY WOULD YOU MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THAT???

I played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team and I really enjoyed it.

I haven't played a Mystery Dungeon game since but I'm tempted to purchase Super Mystery Dungeon but it's quite a handful of cash and I don't know if I'll like it or if it will be a "repeat" of Red/Blue Rescue Team.

Is the story good? Is the game long or is it over fast? As well, is there a lot of grinding? I hate grinding... it bores me to tears.

I think the story is VERY good. It's kinda slow going, and it doesn't really start to pick up speed until the last half, so that could be a deal-breaker for some.

The price is a bit much for roughly 25 - 30 hours of play time for the main story. I guess it depends on how much you enjoy these games by how much time is spent playing the postgame content.

I just finished the main story last night and am currently in the epilogue.

I did a little bit of grinding in the beginning, but that was mostly so I could farm items to take on dungeon runs. This entry places a heavier importance on items and the looplet/emera mechanic, which may have been in Gates to Inifinity...not sure because I never played it. I may have to give it a shot, even if people say it was the weak link in the series.

Maybe wait until it drops in price? I agree that $40 is a little steep, but thirty would be better. Hell, even $35.

One more month until it's released in Europe. x: (At least where I live.)

I can't wait. I absolutely loved Blue & Sky, I didn't bother with Gates to Infinity because you could only choose from 5 starters.

Well I caved and purchased it! It ended up costing around $56 ;___; But I've played it for two hours and so far, I love it! The story is so entertaining to watch. It's not complicated but it's so enjoyable for some reason. I could honestly just keep going to school. xD

Even though it was more money that I would have wanted to spend on it, it hasn't disappointed me yet!
