In celebration of Pokémon Day, there will be a new Pokémon Presents presentation on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. PST

What do think or hope will be announced or shown?
Do you think something is coming out on the Switch or do you think a Pokemon game will be a Switch2 launch title? Maybe a game to be played on either console?
Mainline or spinoff?
Other thoughts?

We'll get something. Probably ZA stuff even though that was announced last Pokemon Day. They might announce Gen 10 for Switch 2 but I highly doubt it. I only give that a 10% chance of happening tho and its only that high because having a Switch 2 launch game would do really well for the franchise regardless of how well the games play.

there's probably a near 0% chance of this happening, but i would love it

konami is about to release the yugioh early days collection, containing 10 retro gameboy/color/advance yugioh games in one for switch

how amazing if they announced something similar for pokemon

Red/Blue
Yellow
Gold/Silver
Crystal
Ruby/Sapphire
Emerald
FireRed/LeafGreen
Trading Card Game
Trading Card Game 2
Pinball

that would make a nice 10 games to package together :)

That'd be a HUGE announcement if they actually went through with it. I've really wanted to play Pokemon Emerald for the longest time now and sadly there's not really any way to easily play it. I know OR/AS exist and I've played those, but I want to experience Emerald, lol.

original copies of those early era games have gotten super expensive sadly. it's really too bad, especially since they've been holding them back during the switch era. no official release of Red/Blue/Gold/Silver since 2016/2017 for the 3DS, and I don't believe Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald were ever remade or re-released, except for ORAS

I'm mostly just hoping for more info about Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Arceus was one of my favorite Pokémon games, so I have high hopes for Z-A. A collection of retro Pokémon games would be fun, or even just some being added to NSO or something

I think it'll be a bit of exciting new info about Z-A and a host of random updates/events for their collection of Pokemon apps. Would be cool to see something more, but I'm not sure how likely it is.

In my perfect world, they'd announce a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game (NOT a remake, a brand new title), but I've kind of lost hope of seeing the world's greatest spinoff ever get some love again.

Pokemon Legends Z-A
I really like how there is some movement in the battling. I am a little unsure if it is set spots you can move your Pokemon too, or if it is timed based or automatic. I couldn't hear too well at the time when I was watching.
I am also happy to see the performance of the game is improved from scarlet/violet.

This direct didn't fill me with disgust or anything like that, but it was predictably underwhelming. As much as I liked the human characters more than usual in Scarlet and Violet, I get irritated when they always make a big deal of showcasing the human cast in pre-release content and yet we're not allowed to see even one new mega teased. For all we know, the starters don't even have different evolutions this time around; all we can do is assume they'll be different because that's how it was in Legends Arceus.

I'm also disappointed by the Z-A graphics. To me, it looks literally the same as Scarlet and Violet. I also thought I saw some framerate stuttering in the trailer. It's not a dealbreaker, but definitely discouraging. I'm just hoping that Gen X will look different.

I just want to know things about the game but all I'm allowed to know is that Lumiose City is a place where people and Pokemon live together in harmony. You know... kinda like every place in every Pokemon Game ever made.

I wish they had talked more about that new Pokemon Champions game. Will it just be Battle Revolution but with all Pokemon available? They said something about being able to use Pokemon from Home as well as Pokemon you 'partner up with' in Pokemon Champions; does that imply there will be a story mode, too? Or is that just another way of saying you don't have to just use rental Pokemon? We already know that there will be megas plus terastilization (💀) but will there also be dynamaxing? Can you terastilize a mega Pokemon? Is this going to be the new official format for competition in the future? I just want to know things, Gamefreak 😭 😭 😭

I wasn't too interested in anything from the Pokémon Presents other than the Z-A info! Overall I'm still looking forward to Z-A! I also agree with the above about noticing the frame rate stuttering briefly in the trailer, lol.

I'm not surprised to see no Gen X game announcement. I still hope that Gen X will have a lot of the traits of Sw/Sh, rather than S/V.

For anyone like me who was thinking that Pokemon Champions would let you transfer any Pokemon from Bank, I just saw this today:

I'm so disappointed. Can we not escape Dexit even in a battle simulator?? I guess there's a chance the Pokemon not appearing in the game could just be mythical Pokemon that typically aren't allowed in competitive anyway, but the only thing I know for sure is that I can't ever trust Gamefreak 🤨

I'd like some more details. Pokemon Champions sounded like something I would try but they didn't really explain how it works. Pokemon ZA I feel like there's just not enough info yet. I'm curious about the gameplay length and how large the the map is. We will just have to wait and see. I'm sure they will be good games.
