Plot setting problem, has this happened to anyone else?

Alrighty so I'm one of those people that needs order in my town, but by far my biggest undertaking in this regard is lining all my villagers houses up (with PWP's everywhere and copious amounts of resetting)

But today I've come across a problem and I'm not entirely sure if I can continue my neatly lined up houses... problem is I've already got halfway there.

Anyway, I'm plot resetting (again) and I got my town down to 8 villagers so I could be assured of an incoming plot after 7 days (Don't have the campsite either, yep I make it hard for myself!) And so I assumed I'd be able to get someone in the right spot and keep resetting till I found a villager I like.

And then this all happened!

This is my map atm:



As you can see I've added a cross where I want this house to go... however the plot simply refuses to go there!

Keep in mind that I have blocked off every other possible place that a plot can go across my entire map, which was no mean feat believe me! This is why I'm worried, as technically there should be a plot somewhere, but trying to make it go where I want it seems to make it disappear!

Originally I had it so there was EXACTLY the right amount of room (with PWP's etc surrounding the spot) for a plot, so I worried I was not leaving enough for the mechanics of the game to handle... so I gave it a little more room... then a bit more... I have seen a plot go in this general direction before so I know this isn't one big 'dead spot' or something, and I have gone well over the 7 days required to have 100% plot show up after villager 9 has moved, so I can only conclude that the game DOES NOT want me to line up 3 x 3 with the houses... or am I missing something?!

I wouldn't be too worried about having my villagers more spread out now except I already have 5 of my dreamies that I am not willing to lose, and I really really love my map so resetting entirely is out (and would be gut wrenching!)

If anyone has got any ideas or advice for me I'd love to hear it! Thanks

Keep trying. Villagers are attracted to certain areas, and it requires patience to roll one where they don't land in that area.

So you think a plot will go there eventually? I thought perhaps cos I was at the 100% plot show up that maybe it just wasn't gonna happen! I will try for a while yet though

As long as there is space, you will eventually get something there... make sure to block all the areas where the plot usually likes to go atm.

However since you most likely aren't getting a dreamie there I would accept the house anywhere, then block those pesky areas where it likes to go and then get an actual dreamie into that space!

As long as there's enough space, there's always a chance for the plot to go there. It just takes a lot of patience and luck. I hope it works out for you.

You can get lines of villagers.
I have a line of three and trying to make it four, and lolly is plotting nowhere near where I need her

Yep, I've got the entire mapped blocked out, no worries there! As for my dreamies I'm gonna go with the flow for a while and just get some cute/cool villagers until a dreamie comes along, I still wanna make it look nice though!

I'm realizing I missed an important part in my original post... there are no other places for a plot to show up as I've blocked them all, that is why I'm worried, because a plot definitely show up but its nowhere on my map! *Clarified in first post now*

Gonna try and work it out a bit more tomorrow, thanks for all the advice!

Okay so you're TT and ther's no plots showing up? Perhaps invite a villager from another town, and the next day there should guaranteed be a plot.

Yeah I'm thinking maybe that will be the only way to ensure a plot! The thing is I did crush a PWP in a spot I know the plots like to show up and one was there, but I only tried once, then rebuilt the PWP and alas there was no plot again, so maybe it was a fluke! It's just so weird!

Good luck! Hopefully they'll align perfectly in that space, but in my experience, if they're close enough to their ideal location after a few hours, I usually just go with it ; - ;

Thanks! The problem now is that no plot is showing up, no chance of even checking to see them aligned at the moment! Hopefully this will have been some weird thing and when I open the game today a plot will show up!

Alrighty I've adopted Papi (What a cutiepie!) So I'll see whether his plot def shows up even in my apparent dead spot! Also don't fret Papi lovers, I'll make sure his plot shows up, If I have to delete a different PWP then so be it

OMG you have the exact same map as I do. Except my retail and ramps to the beach are different. You only have 1 pond you are so lucky I have 4. How many rocks do you have? I got stuck with 9. Keep going my friend reset hundreds of times to get Fauna in the right spot.

Haha awesome! Its such a pretty map isn't it, such a lovely river shape! I actually wouldn't have minded 2 ponds, but 4 must be hard! I have 8 rocks I believe, so quite a few but I've worked around all but a couple

Yep I will, I have a lot of determination and if it means I don't get to play properly well then... I don't for a while haha! Skye was a big pain during reset time, too a number of days to convince her haha!

Haha I noticed we have our mayoral house in the same spot too! Mine is just blue cos I took the pic while on a new character!

Sometime I wish there was more room for PWP's and a garden, but I just love that its surrounded by water!

Also I'm going to TT to Papi's plot show up day soon, gotta do a few things first, but I'll keep ya'll posted

Welp! Looks like that spot is a no-go area, just TT'd a day ahead and he hasn't shown up in the spot! Maybe this is a glitch on my game, and if I allow them to place their plot in another place it will stop doing this the NEXT time I try to place a plot there! I'm gonna trial this one about 10 times but if his plot doesn't show up there it looks like its demolishing time so Papi gets to stay

Anytime I've invited a villager, it's taken 2 days for a plot to show up, maybe check the next day just in case?
