I just read a post on tumblr saying that they've had no villagers move in on tiled spaces. So they tried putting tiles down around town except where they wanted the new villager to move in and the villager moved to that spot first time. Of course their is a chance they'll move into the spot where the previous villager just left.

I got really excited after reading this, and I recalled that inkwell didn't move into a path yesterday, in fact he was one block away from where the path was so as to not destroy it. Could it be true? Has anyone else noticed this or tried this out?

I have actually, I sectioned off an area for my town to be made into a plaza that'd include bushed and a tower ect, and Punchy placed his plot down directly next to the entrance to the plaza, (which was where I wanted him) Nintendo probably added that after someone's plaza got trampled by Beardo or someone. :P

It's so awesome that they made QR codes invincible to move-ins. I have had some atrocious random move-ins that have nearly ruined my town. Just have to wait for them to move out and I won't have to deal with that again. \o/

I remember a certain horse named Ed moved right on top of a path

So glad that won't happen anymore. I wonder if trees can stop them from moving in a certain spot

I remember my dad built a geyser park complete with golden roses and static moved in right on top of the paths AND the roses, so he'll be happy too

In answer to a question above, I've been testing it myself and trees will not stop them. This is fantastic though! ^_^

sorry to burst your bubble, but I've had villagers move in on paths after the update. ;-;

trees and bushes won't stop them. it just happened to me yesterday lmao. womp womp womp.

It sucks that they can still move in over trees and bushes. One step at a time I guess.

I've had stitches move in one space away from my path too. Seems like it should be true :)
