Plot reset Question (urgent!)

I moved out Molly via amiibo card and want to put Vesta?s house in exactly the same place. Villagers CAN move in the exact spot as the one they kicked out right?

yep. it's happened to me when fang moved out. marcel took the same spot, and then murphy later moved in on the exact same spot after marcel moved out.

That seems to be what they lean to, yes. I'd still plot reset just to make sure
