PlayStation is what I prefer. I'm not really a huge fan of Xbox exclusives and the controllers feel awkward in my hands.

They tend to have more exclusives, as well as having a wider variety of genres in their exclusives as far as I can tell. A lot of my favorite franchises either started on Playstation (Jak and Daxter, Oddworld, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, Kingdom Hearts), gained mainstream success on it (Tomb Raider, Metal Gear, GTA), or I simply found out about a series from a Playstation release of a series (Final Fantasy, Quake).
I own an original Xbox and 360. They're pretty disappointing to be quite honest. There's some standout games for me like Halo, Viva Pinata and the Oddworld games but for the most part, there's not really much to talk about. My pile of Xbox/360 exclusives is tiny compared to other consoles, and I did actually try to buy exclusives.
They also tend to port a lot of their games to PC really quickly (usually within a few months or a year), so a lot of their exclusives aren't really that exclusive either. I find it hard to justify buying an Xbox over a PC, especially with the current generation.

Sometimes I wonder if I should have gone with a PS4. I'd have to sacrifice Xbox Live for my 360 though if I wanted to play PS4 online. What are some nice exclusives on the PS4? It probably would have had me sold if Kingdom Hearts 3 was going to be an exclusive for it, but I saw it was going to be on the Xbox One as well so I didn't buy it. I am disappointed about missing No Man's Sky.

I can agree to this, even if I prefer Xbox over Playstation (I`m not taking the newest consoles PS4 and Xbox1 into the sum, because they are fairly new and its a bit early to tell).
The reason I still prefer Xbox is because their exclusives suit me more. I like RPG`s and loved the Mass Effect series, Fable I never got into. The biggest reason I bought the Xbox was for Mass Effect and Dragon Age. But other then those games, the system is collecting dust.
Since I`m not a big online gamer, that part doesn`t effect me really. I do hate you need 5 consoles to be able to keep up with the "Tales of" series.
