Planting Bushes!

Hi there! So I've been trying to plant bushes lately. I've been weary that bushes/trees can be in chains of at most 12, and so I planned accordingly, however, when I planted my bushes, I still ended up with some dying. In some of the places where bushes died, it seems as though fruit trees will grow though.

Could anyone provide me with some insight into this ^^?

Here's a picture! The open spots are where bushes will not grow.

I think those are just dead spots you could try planting trees. But I really think theres just too many plants in one small area

Yeah, that could be the case. I didn't even know that there were spots where bushes couldn't grow but trees could o;

I know this is quite unrelated, but may I ask where you got those bushes? I'm actually kind of at the beginning of the game, but other than the island, I don't know where to get any, and I really want to plant some in my town.

You can't get them until you have your Nookling's upgraded to T.I.Y. or higher, then you can get them at the gardening store.

i think you can only have so many trees/bushes in a 7x7 area.. Ive had the same issue, Its pretty annoying to say the least.. It still looks nice though!!

I just wanted to comment that I think some fruit trees might look very nice in those gaps - the gaps are directly opposite one-another, so trees would still preserve the symmetry of the path border.

Given that you have confirmed that trees work there, I just figure trees might look better than empty space.

That's just my opinion, though.
