We've potentially added a new furry friend to our family today. Say hi to Pesto:

We got her from my sister and we're gonna keep her for 2 weeks to see how she does w/ our other cat, Olivia. If they get along, we keep her. If not, well...she'll have another loving home to go to.

On the topic of the Wii U oh gosh I can still hear all the jingles when booting it up or going on a channel like news, weather, or Miiverse. Why can't the Switch 2 have music and jingles like that?

i’m not sure why the wii u never sold well, was it just because it seemed to be advertised as an accessory/add on for the original wii? because that’s peak nintendo UI right there.

regarding the news and weather channel, the wii/wii u was like an all-purpose console. that’s i miss the most about that era in gaming, although there is no purpose for that anymore.

Mostly it was from bad advertising from what I remember. Or lack of it. There were a lot of people who thought the Wii U was just an extension to the Wii. It was already out for months and I had no idea. I was just randomly browsing saw mention of it and had to look up what it was.

They also took forever to release any worthwhile games. New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land were the only first party games. Switch 2 is also kind of like that right now with DK Bananza and Mario Kart World. So hopefully they start to put some more out next year. The other 3rd party games could be bought on other consoles and Mario was almost similar to the DS/3DS version except shinier?

The commercial saying upgrade didn't help matters either 😅

 
The girl farmer puts so much emphasis on the "YAH!!" of her double jump, I love it 😂

I watched a whole 7 hour speedrun just to listen to the double jumps, lol and the commentary as well. It was good.
 
The “world’s oldest baby” was recently born in Ohio. His embryo was frozen in 1994, and recently given to a 34-year-old couple. I know he’s technically a baby, but it’s still interesting to me.

Back in the late 90's, my class took a field trip to Fort Sumter (Because I live in South Carolina.... yay.). That fort is over water so you have to take a small ferry boat there. I don't remember much about going over there, but I do remember the ferry ride pretty well.

While we were going over there. Some dolphins were swimming next to us. This made many of the kids get up and walk to one side of the boat so they could see them. I just stayed in my seat like a statue because I didn't like boats...even though that was my first time on one.
The boat began to tip off to the side and I instinctively grabbed onto my seat so I wouldn't fall out into the scary blue sea. I remember the guy who was driving the thing shouted out for them to go back to their seats.

I’m assuming this is a genuine question about the site, in which case no, it’s not normally this inactive. But due to recent actions by the staff members, a lot of members have either left or chosen to interact with the site less, myself included. This probably isn’t going to change.

Anyways, I heard about this movie called Fixed yesterday in a penguinz0 video and decided to watch the trailer… yeah it’s disgusting. The worst part is that the Netflix trailer is censored, so the actual one is even worse. Actually no, the worst part was at the end, when I saw Idris Elba listed as one of the voice actors, I can’t believe Knuckles would disgrace himself by associating with this movie.
