It's kinda crazy how the end of Squid Game is around the corner. I'm not one to advocate for longer waiting times, but it feels so short from Christmas to now. They could have gone for Thanksgiving.

I'm bored and I'm kinda looking forwards this year's camp / event's puzzles from Kilza. They help pass the time
 
If they ever release a Steam Deck 2, I might save up for it and turn my current gaming PC into a purely streaming and work device. I realized I prefer handhelds and consoles for gaming over playing them on desktops.

Ngl when I visited Cephalobot at his vacation home in Happy Home Paradise, I was kinda mad at him for what he did in a different game…but then I remembered those were the Deku Scrubs lol.

It's always the worst feeling LOL... sometimes I have a dream that I made something, like art or youtube video or like a mario maker level... and then wake up and it's gone 😭

Weirdly the Mario levels are the worst ones, because oftentimes the dream-levels are not possible to recreate with the tools I have available :p

I go in anyway thinking we can take it on, but the first thing I noticed was that we can't flee the battle.

It's basically a boss battle, and it knew a really deadly combination: Drain Magic and Thwack. Thwack is a OHKO spell. We got annihilated, of course, and I lost all my progress within the dungeon.

As long as any of my party members has MP, it will steal some with Drain Magic for free, and use Thwack in the next turn. And its bite attack does insane damage, especially critical hits. I quickly realized we were doomed.

I'm playing with Draconian difficulty turned on, and I'm playing blind, so had I known Mimics were this powerful, I would have NEVER battled it. I'll be better prepared next time.

TL;DR: OHKO moves are cheap as hell 😡🤬💢

Does the Mimic have any MP of its own? I am wondering if you can use up all of your MP on purpose beforehand to make the fight easier, LOL

Shattering tropes is more like, I took a different route with that trope and not the straightforward: A->-B->C-> way that's been done to death now (aka cliche).

But once that unique (subtype) trope becomes popular, others are going to reuse it until it's like the grandfather trope (cliche) and now everyone's going to get fed up with that one. Which it's going to put a lot of people on edge when they are trying to work on something, since that trope is too overused.

So unfortunate.

However, we can find a way as long as we put our minds to it.

Rambling at almost 3 in the morning. lol

I actually don’t get it. Why are my posts on the Feedback thread the least-liked posts? At this point, this tells me that nobody wants me in the community anymore.

I’ve also noticed that some of the posts that were attacking me got a lot of likes. I think the others want me out.

It has its own MP and once it uses it all up, it starts using Drain Magic, which costs 0 MP

That's exactly what I tried doing, lmao I had my party try to use up all their MP on purpose, but in the end it didn't matter since the Mimic would just start using its bite attack, dealing significant damage before we could even act.

I came back later with a different strategy: cast Fizzle at the very beginning of the battle so the Mimic's OHKO spell is sealed for a few turns. Then all we had to do was deal as much damage as possible (that thing has SOOO much HP, lol)
 
Tomorrow, younger generations of gamers (including those born in the early 2000’s) will be introduced to Gex, as that gets resurfaced 25 years later.

I don’t think it’s anything against you. It’s just the things that you post in that thread are often insensitive, dismissive, or kinda obvious. For the former two, people aren’t attacking you, they’re just correcting you, which is why those posts get a lot of reactions from people (like me, and I like you).

Use this one as an example. Firesquids said that because your comment implied that the community is the issue and not the staff, when no one who actually cares about the betterment of the community would send a staff member something like that. Since most of us are mentally stable. This post was also pretty rude, which is why someone pointed it out.

But don’t overthink it. I really don’t think everyone on this site hates you because of that.

I’ve just been feeling that because of the few mess-ups in the past that I overcame and won’t repeat, but still been seen as a threat by a few (heck, some still see me as a threat for a few posts I made back in 2015). Maybe I was being paranoid again. Also, the example you highlighted wasn’t an attack towards me.

Worrying about others hating me is one of my periodic episodes I have every once in a while. Another one I get is the fear of death and thinking about how the afterlife never ends.
